Migration Star is a registered migration practice based in Eight Mile Plains, Brisbane, established in 2017. We work with students, skilled workers, families, and employers across Australia and the Pacific, guiding them through the Australian immigration system with expert, personal service.
About the role:
As our marketing function grows, we are looking for a Design & Marketing Manager to lead our marketing team and own the delivery of our content, social media, and campaigns end to end. This is a remote role open to candidates across Australia.
Reporting to the Principal Agent, you will set the direction for our marketing, manage the team members who produce and publish it, and make sure everything we put out is professional, accurate and consistent with our brand and our compliance obligations as a registered migration practice. You will be both a hands-on creative and a team leader, comfortable shaping strategy one moment and quality-checking a carousel the next.
Whom will you work with:
The Principal Agent, who sets business direction and provides compliance guidance
Marketing team members responsible for content production and publishing
The Operations Manager, on CRM, leads the flow and reporting
Key responsibilities:
Lead and manage the marketing team, setting priorities, allocating work and supporting professional development
Own the marketing strategy and translate it into a clear, consistent content and campaign plan
Manage the weekly content calendar across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, and hold the team to the publishing schedule
Oversee the creation of on-brand graphics, carousels, reels and educational content, ensuring brand and quality standards are met
Manage email marketing and nurture campaigns through HubSpot, and oversee content published to the website via the HubSpot CMS
Coordinate with the Operations Manager on CRM, lead flow and reporting so marketing and operations stay aligned
Track content and campaign performance, report to the Principal Agent, and refine the approach based on results
Manage relationships with external contractors or freelancers as needed
Ensure all published content meets Australian Consumer Law and migration advertising standards, with compliance guidance provided by the Principal Agent
Essential requirements:
Demonstrated experience leading or managing marketing, with a track record of delivering content and campaigns
Strong grasp of social media and content marketing across multiple platforms
Hands-on capability in graphic design tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud, enough to direct and quality-check the team's output
Email marketing and marketing automation experience (HubSpot preferred)
Excellent written English and strong attention to detail, using Australian English
Well organised, able to manage people, projects, and deadlines using tools such as Asana
Full working rights in Australia
Desirable
Experience in marketing within migration, education, legal or other professional services
Familiarity with regulated or compliance-sensitive marketing
Experience managing a small team or coordinating freelancers
Interest in the migration and international education sector
