ABOUT KABOOSE

Kaboose is a fast-growing community platform designed to help autistic and neurodivergent people connect, learn, and thrive through meaningful relationships and supportive communities. The platform enables members to find peers, mentors, learning resources, and employment opportunities in a safe and inclusive environment.

As we scale, we’re looking for a performance-driven Community Manager who can grow, energise, and nurture our community across channels while driving measurable engagement and participation.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Community Manager will be responsible for growing and activating the Kaboose community, both within the platform and across external channels.

This role blends community building, marketing, engagement strategy, and analytics, ensuring the community continues to grow in a way that is safe, inclusive, and meaningful for neurodivergent members.

You will work closely with the founding team to drive community growth, engagement, and retention.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESCommunity Growth

  • Develop and execute strategies to grow the Kaboose community through organic and targeted channels.
  • Identify and activate partnerships, ambassadors, and creators who can expand reach within neurodivergent communities.
  • Drive member acquisition through LinkedIn, Meta platforms, email campaigns, and community partnerships.
  • Identify new growth opportunities across social media, forums, and online communities.

Community engagement

  • Design and implement initiatives to increase active participation and meaningful connections within the community.
  • Launch and manage community activities such as:
  • Discussions
  • Events or live sessions
  • Peer support groups
  • Member-led initiatives
  • Encourage and highlight user-generated content and lived-experience storytelling.

Community Management

  • Moderate community spaces to ensure psychological safety, inclusivity, and adherence to community guidelines.
  • Support members with onboarding, questions, and participation.
  • Identify community trends, feedback, and emerging needs.
  • Work with product and leadership teams to improve the community experience.

Performance & Marketing

  • Plan and execute engagement and growth campaigns across:
  • LinkedIn
  • Meta (Facebook / Instagram)
  • Email newsletters
  • Community partnerships
  • Track key metrics such as:
  • Community growth
  • Engagement rates
  • Retention and participation
  • Event attendance
  • Use insights and analytics to continuously optimise engagement strategies.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Requirement Experience

  • 3–6+ years in community management, growth marketing, or social media management
  • Proven track record of growing and activating online communities
  • Experience managing communities on platforms such as:
  • LinkedIn
  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram)
  • Email marketing platforms
  • Community platforms (Slack, Discord, Circle, Mighty Networks, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of engagement strategies and community lifecycle management
  • Experience using analytics tools to track growth and engagement metrics

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with startups, early-stage products, or mission-driven organisations
  • Experience supporting online communities focused on wellbeing, mental health, disability, or social impact
  • Familiarity with community safety and moderation practices
  • An eye for design
