Lead Account Manager
Job Description
Posted on: February 15, 2026
About Zabota:
Zabota is a top-ranked global recruitment firm, recognized as a Top HR Staffing Company by Clutch in 2025. We specialize in helping high-growth U.S. brands build elite, remote-first teams. Our mission is clear: Connect world-class talent from LATAM, Europe, and beyond with the most ambitious companies in the world.
About Our Client
Our client is a fast-growing e-commerce email marketing agency that helps brands drive 30–50% of their revenue through Klaviyo. They specialize in done-for-you email campaign execution with a tight, process-driven team of marketers, creatives, and techs. They are known for their speed, precision, and commitment to ROI.
About the Role:
This is not your standard account manager role. As Lead Account Manager, you will act as the strategic retention marketing expert, owning end-to-end client results and service delivery. You will manage high-value clients, guide a team of account managers, and ensure smooth execution across campaigns and workflows. You will work closely 1:1 with the Founder and receive heavy training—this role is for someone ready to grow into an operations and strategy leadership position, not for someone expected to know everything from day one.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the highest-value clients.
- Own agency-wide email/SMS performance, including revenue attribution, list growth, segmentation, automation, and deliverability.
- Provide strategic leadership for underperforming or complex accounts, identifying gaps and implementing fixes.
- Support, train, and manage a team of Senior Account Managers.
- Conduct account audits and QA reviews, ensuring consistent, high-quality execution.
- Maintain client trust, handle escalations calmly, and serve as the ultimate point of accountability.
- Oversee onboarding and kickoff processes to ensure client success from day one.
- Monitor churn risk and proactively intervene.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with copywriters, designers, and techs to optimize results.
- Maintain and improve SOPs, communication protocols, and operational systems.
- Communicate performance updates clearly to internal teams and clients.
Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years experience in Klaviyo DTC email marketing.
- Proven experience managing people and leading teams.
- Deep knowledge of Klaviyo flows, campaigns, deliverability, and retention marketing best practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with sharp project management skills.
- Confident problem solver who thrives in high-pressure situations.
- Self-starter with a bias toward action and clarity.
- Ideally based in Melbourne or elsewhere in Australia for time zone and culture alignment.
- Agency experience or a proven track record in fast-paced environments.
Offer Details:
- Contract position
- Remote-first, with occasional in-person collaboration
- Must be based in Australia
- Flexible working hours
- Compensation: AUD $6,000–8,000/month depending on experience
Hiring Steps:
- Initial Zabota Screening
- Client Interview
- Practical Task or Second Stage Interview
