Content Creator – Travel Vlog

Embarking on an extraordinary sailing journey from northern Norway through Svalbard, Greenland, Iceland, and along the historic Viking route to Duluth, Minnesota, this project aims to document the adventure in a compelling YouTube vlog documentary series. The goal is to produce 20–30 engaging episodes that authentically capture the voyage, the landscapes, and the personal experiences along the way. As a beginner in video production, guidance is sought from an experienced mentor who can provide expert advice on storytelling, filming, editing, and building a successful YouTube presence throughout the journey. Deliverables

• Provide mentorship and hands-on guidance in planning, filming, and editing a YouTube vlog documentary series.
• Advise on structuring episodes to maximize viewer engagement and narrative flow.
• Offer feedback on raw footage, episode drafts, and final edits to ensure high production quality.
• Share best practices for travel vlogging, including equipment selection, on-location shooting, and audio capture.
• Guide the development of a consistent visual and storytelling style tailored to the journey’s unique context.
• Support the creation of a YouTube channel strategy, including branding, audience growth, and content scheduling.

Requirements

• Proven experience in producing or mentoring successful YouTube travel or documentary vlog series.
• Strong knowledge of video production, including camera operation, audio recording, and editing (preferably with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
• Ability to teach and communicate complex production concepts to beginners in a clear, supportive manner.
• Familiarity with YouTube content strategy, SEO, and audience engagement techniques.
• Creative storytelling skills with an eye for capturing authentic moments and compelling visuals.
• Availability for remote mentorship sessions throughout the duration of the sailing journey.
• Passion for travel, adventure, and documentary filmmaking.
