About the role

We’re looking for a Growth Lead who enjoys figuring out how things grow — from first traction to repeatable systems.

This is not a traditional marketing role.

Your first focus will be Onoma, a privacy-first AI memory layer that gives users persistent context across ChatGPT, Claude, and other models. Think: your AI finally remembers who you are, without your data leaving your control.

After Onoma, you’ll apply what you learn to future ventures in the portfolio.

There is no fixed playbook, no rigid channel ownership, and no expectation that growth comes from one tactic.

Instead, you’ll work closely with product, and tech to:

Identify growth opportunities > Test them quickly > and turn what works into reusable growth playbooks across ventures.

If you like ownership, experimentation, and building from zero, this role will feel natural.

What you’ll do

You’ll operate as a growth generalist across several early-stage ventures at different stages (idea, validation, early growth).

Your work will include:

  • Designing and running growth experiments across acquisition, activation, and retention
  • Testing positioning, messaging, and go-to-market hypotheses
  • Working closely with product and engineering to ship growth-driven improvements
  • Analyzing results, learning fast, and deciding what to scale or stop
  • Turning one-off wins into repeatable growth systems for the studio
  • Experimenting with social and narrative-driven distribution (founder-led content, launches, insights, learnings). This is not a community management or social media scheduling role.
  • Testing lightweight PR and outreach to unlock credibility, partnerships, or early traction

You’ll spend most of your time executing and learning, not preparing decks.

  • We work remote-first and async by default. Meetings are minimal; clarity and accountability matter more than presence.
  • We rely heavily on written communication and documentation
  • We operate in cycles, each with a clear goal and success criteria
  • Each individual has full ownership over their scope of work
  • You’re responsible for taking ideas from hypothesis to execution to results

This environment works well if you:

  • Are comfortable working independently and can manage your own priorities effectively
  • Take responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks

AI-first by default

We treat AI as a core part of how we work, not an add-on.

You’ll be encouraged to:

  • Use AI for research, ideation, copy, analysis, and experimentation
  • Automate repetitive or low-leverage work
  • Experiment with new tools and workflows
  • Build lightweight systems that scale across ventures

We care more about leverage and learning speed than manual effort.

What we’re looking for

We don’t hire based on years of experience. We hire based on how you think, test, and execute.

Strong signals:

  • You’ve run real growth experiments before (startup, project, side hustle, or personal work)
  • You’re comfortable working with imperfect data
  • You enjoy rapid experimentation and iteration
  • You’re self-directed and proactive
  • You’re comfortable using modern tools, including AI and automation

Bonus (not required):

  • Experience in early-stage startups
  • Experience working async or remote-first
  • Experience applying AI deeply in your daily workflow
