Growth Marketing Specialist
Job Description
Posted on: January 22, 2026
Company Overview:
Lugg is an on-demand moving and delivery marketplace that makes it easy to move, haul, and deliver furniture and large items. We connect customers with trusted Luggers to handle everything from full home moves to Facebook Marketplace pickups. As part of our team, you’ll help scale a fast-growing, dynamic company that puts customer convenience, operational excellence, and high-quality service at its core.
Role Summary:
We’re looking for a Growth Marketing Specialist to own and evolve Lugg’s growth efforts across acquisition, activation, and retention, including paid, lifecycle, and local discovery. This is a hands-on, execution-driven role for a growth operator who thrives at the intersection of performance marketing, experimentation, and insight generation.
You’ll step into existing growth frameworks across multiple markets, with the opportunity to challenge assumptions, test new approaches, and carve new paths based on performance data and customer insights. You’ll work closely with the marketing team to inform and shape growth strategies, helping drive improvements across the full customer funnel.
You’ll be expected to use AI aggressively to increase your effectiveness, whether for research, drafting, analysis, or experimentation. Tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and others should be part of your daily workflow. We care less about how the work gets done and more that it gets done thoughtfully, efficiently, and well.
Responsibilities:
- Own and optimize paid acquisition campaigns across markets, managing day-to-day execution while continuously testing and iterating to improve efficiency, CAC, LTV, and overall growth performance.
- Design, launch, and evaluate experiments across targeting, creative, bidding, and budgeting strategies, using performance data to inform decisions and unlock scalable growth opportunities.
- Analyze performance using Google Analytics and platform-level reporting to identify trends, diagnose issues, and surface actionable insights that influence broader growth strategy beyond paid channels.
- Actively improve activation, engagement, and repeat usage by designing, testing, and optimizing lifecycle programs across email, SMS, and push notifications.
- Contribute to local growth and discovery initiatives, including Google Maps and location-based strategies, by sharing insights from paid and lifecycle performance and supporting optimization efforts across markets.
- Monitor competitive activity, market dynamics, and emerging platforms to inform testing priorities and identify new opportunities for growth and channel expansion.
- Communicate performance clearly and effectively, translating data into recommendations that help the team prioritize what to test, scale, or refine next.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in growth, performance, or lifecycle marketing, with hands-on exposure to experimentation, optimization, and funnel performance.
- Experience owning or meaningfully contributing to multi-market growth programs, such as two- or three-sided marketplaces or multi-location businesses, strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with performance data to diagnose issues, identify opportunities, and recommend next steps.
- Experience with lifecycle marketing channels such as email, SMS, or push notifications, including hands-on experience building, optimizing, or testing programs. Experience with Customer.io strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with core growth and analytics tools, such as Google Analytics and major advertising or lifecycle platforms.
- Experience iterating on performance-oriented creative and writing or optimizing ad copy with conversion in mind.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter with a growth mindset who enjoys testing, learning, and collaborating across teams to drive better outcomes.
- Able to work independently and comfortable communicating remotely.
What We Offer:
- Fully remote work environment
- Be part of a fast-growing software company
- Room to grow as the team grows
- Competitive time off and benefits policy
The expected salary range for this position is $70,000-$75,000 USD.
