We are looking for a Director of Membership & Sponsorship to join our small but mighty virtual team at the Radiology Business Management Association. The Director of Membership & Sponsorship is responsible for driving growth across two critical areas: membership and sponsorship revenue. This role owns an established, successful sponsorship program and leads targeted membership marketing campaigns designed to attract, convert, and retain members.
ResponsibilitiesMembership Marketing Campaigns
- Lead membership marketing strategy and campaigns focused on recruitment, renewal, and retention
- Design targeted campaigns aligned with organizational priorities and member segments
- Collaborate with the membership engagement team to ensure campaigns support the full member lifecycle
- Analyze campaign performance and adjust strategies to improve conversion and growth
- Partner closely with the Membership & Engagement Manager to translate growth goals into engagement strategies that support recruitment, onboarding, and retention
Sponsorship Program Leadership & Growth
- Own and continue to grow a robust, mature sponsorship program
- Develop sponsorship strategy across events, digital platforms, and year-round initiatives
- Cultivate and renew sponsor relationships; identify upsell and expansion opportunities
- Design and refine sponsorship packages, pricing models, and value propositions
- Serve as the primary steward for sponsors throughout the year, proactively managing touchpoints, fulfillment, and value delivery to ensure strong relationships and positive partner experiences
- Serve as a connective leader across membership, sponsorship, meetings, and communications to ensure cohesive execution and shared accountability
- Track sponsorship revenue, retention, and performance metrics
Event-Driven Membership & Sponsor Activation
- Leverage events as key drivers for membership growth and sponsor value
- Integrate membership messaging and sponsor visibility into event-related campaigns
- Partner with meetings and education teams to align promotional strategies with program goals
- Support pre-event and post-event membership and sponsorship initiatives tied to events
Campaign Execution & Brand Stewardship
- Oversee the development of campaign assets (email, social, landing graphics, sales materials) in partnership with the Marketing department
- Utilize Canva to use campaign assets to create or guide visually compelling, on-brand materials
- Ensure consistency and clarity across all membership and sponsorship communications
- Support performance tracking and reporting to inform future strategy
What This Role Is Not
- Not responsible for day-to-day member service or engagement
- Not a general marketing or communications role
- Not limited to maintenance—this role is expected to grow and evolve programs

- Sustained growth in sponsorship revenue and partner retention
- Increased membership acquisition and renewal through targeted campaigns
- Strong alignment between membership, sponsorship, and events
- Clear performance metrics and reporting tied to growth goals
- Sponsors and members see clear value in their investment
QualificationsRequired
- Demonstrated experience leading membership growth and/or sponsorship programs
- Proven ability to drive revenue and conversions through strategic campaigns
- Experience owning partner relationships and revenue targets
- Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Comfort using data to guide decisions and measure success
Preferred
- Association or nonprofit experience
- Radiology industry experience
- Familiarity with CRM/AMS platforms and campaign tracking
- Experience with Smartsheet software platform
- Visual storytelling or campaign design experience (Canva or similar tools)

This position is strategic and execution-oriented, combining relationship management, campaign leadership, and data-informed decision-making. While this role collaborates closely with membership engagement, meetings, and communications teams, it is focused on growth strategy and results—not day-to-day member service or general marketing.

RBMA is a completely remote organization, so you will need a designated in-home workspace. Occasional travel within the United States is required.
The position will include a base salary and benefits, with a commission structure for success in sponsorship and membership growth.
