We're looking for a sharp, analytically-minded SEO/SEM Manager who thrives at the intersection of search, automation, and AI. You'll own our entire search presence — organic and paid — and be the person accountable for measurable lead growth. Core Responsibilities
- Own and execute the full SEO roadmap — technical audits, on-page optimization, content strategy, and link-building, with AI-assisted research and content production workflows baked in
- Manage and continuously optimize Google Ads campaigns (Search, Performance Max, Display, Shopping) with a focus on lead quality, not just volume
- Build and maintain tracking infrastructure (GA4, Google Tag Manager, Search Console, conversion events) to ensure reporting is clean and decision-ready
- Research, test, and deploy AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Surfer, Clearscope, etc.) to accelerate content creation, keyword strategy, and competitor analysis
- Deliver clear, concise monthly performance reports tied to lead generation — not vanity metrics
- Collaborate with sales and product to align search intent with actual customer pain points
Required Skills & Experience
- Google Ads — 3+ years managing campaigns hands-on; experience with conversion tracking, audience segmentation, Smart Bidding, and budget optimization at meaningful scale
- Technical SEO — confident with Core Web Vitals, crawl budget, schema markup, log file analysis, and site architecture decisions
- AI-augmented workflows — actively uses LLMs and AI tools in day-to-day SEO/SEM work; not just aware of them, but has replaced old manual processes with smarter ones
- Analytics — GA4, Looker Studio, Search Console; able to build dashboards and interpret data without needing a data analyst to translate
- Keyword & content strategy — experience mapping search intent across the full funnel, not just top-of-funnel traffic grabs
- 5+ years in an SEO/SEM role, ideally in a B2B or lead-gen environmentNice to Have
- Zapier or n8n — has built automations that remove manual reporting, trigger alerts, or sync lead data across tools
- Basic coding ability — comfortable reading/writing Python, JavaScript, or similar; can collaborate on lightweight automation scripts, scrapers, or API integrations without hand-holding
- Familiarity with CRM integrations (HubSpot, Salesforce) and how lead attribution flows from a click to a closed deal
- Experience with programmatic SEO — templated content at scale, dynamic page generation
How We'll Measure Success
These are the targets we'll set together in the first 30 days — exact numbers will be calibrated to our current baseline.
Month 1 — Foundation Tracking is clean, baseline KPIs are documented, and a clear 6-month action plan is in place.
Month 3 — Early Traction 10–20% increase in qualified leads across organic and paid channels vs. baseline; Google Ads cost-per-lead stable or improving (no buying volume at the expense of efficiency).
Month 6 — Scale 30–40% total increase in combined organic + paid leads; Google Ads cost-per-lead reduced by 15–20%; at least one automated reporting or lead-nurturing workflow live.
Month 12 — Compounding Growth 50%+ total increase in combined organic + paid leads year-over-year; SEO content and technical improvements from earlier months now driving sustained ranking gains.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $100,000 – $125,000 depending on experience — benchmarked to the LA market for a senior SEO/SEM profile with Google Ads depth and AI-native workflows
- Performance bonus: 50% of base, tied to the 6- and 12-month lead growth KPIs above — your upside scales with the results you drive
