Direct Response & Email Copywriter

Role Overview:

We're looking for an experience copywriter in the direct to consumer, affiliate or direct response space to deliver impactful and conversion-focused content. The ideal candidate has first hand experience of creating written content and has overseen the results of its distribution and performance. A solid understanding of consumer psychology, social trends, storytelling and direct response marketing are a must.

Responsibilities:

• Write hard-hitting direct-response VSL scripts that engage viewers, create emotional connections and drive conversions.
• Creating high-engaging email content and subject lines
• Craft persuasive UGC ad copy for social media platforms (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
• Develop engaging hooks, storytelling arcs, and clear CTAs to optimize ad performance.
• Collaborate with the creative team to refine messaging, align copy with visual content, and ensure brand consistency.
• Continuously test and optimize ad copy based on performance data, iterating for maximum impact.
• Research industry trends, customer pain points, and competitor strategies to craft compelling narratives.
• Write additional direct-response assets such as email campaigns, landing pages, and retargeting ads as needed.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in direct-response copywriting (VSLs, UGC ads, sales funnels, etc.).
• Deep understanding of consumer psychology and storytelling techniques that drive conversions.
• Strong ability to craft engaging, concise, and emotionally compelling copy.
• Experience writing for pet brands or similar DTC e-commerce businesses is a plus.
• Ability to analyze ad performance metrics and optimize copy accordingly.
• Knowledge of social media advertising platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
