About LAIRE

LAIRE is a creative, data-driven B2B marketing agency. We build full-funnel systems that drive growth — from strategy, sales enablement, and automation to branding, web development, content, and paid media.

We help companies in industries like SaaS, manufacturing, financial services, construction, and more turn marketing into measurable pipeline and repeatable revenue. As a fully remote team, we unite top digital talent nationwide to deliver strategic and creative firepower.

About the Role

Are you a data-driven performance marketing expert with a passion for driving measurable results across paid media and SEO? Do you thrive in a collaborative agency environment where strategy meets execution?

If you're looking to make a significant impact on B2B client growth while working alongside a team of collaborative marketing experts, this role is for you.

The Performance Marketing Strategist role is a senior-level, client-facing position within LAIRE. You will be the agency's subject matter expert for performance marketing initiatives, specifically paid media and supporting with SEO, working hand-in-hand with our full team to drive qualified leads and revenue growth for our clients.

You will be responsible for managing larger paid media budgets directly, overseeing contractors who handle smaller client accounts, and providing strategic SEO guidance that complements paid efforts. This role requires both strategic thinking and tactical execution, with a focus on delivering measurable ROI across all performance marketing channels.

You must be an excellent communicator, comfortable presenting technical strategies to clients during QBRs and strategy sessions, and able to translate complex data into actionable insights for both internal teams and client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership: Work closely with Marketing Strategists, Account Managers, and the creative team to develop integrated performance marketing strategies that align with overall client objectives and business goals.
  • Paid Media Management: Plan, execute, and optimize advertising campaigns across Google Ads, Bing, LinkedIn, Facebook/Meta, and other B2B-focused digital platforms.
  • Budget Oversight: Directly manage larger client budgets for paid media (of $500K+/year) while supervising and coordinating contractors who handle smaller account budgets.
  • SEO Strategy & Technical Advisory: In partnership with the Senior Editorial Content Manager, develop and oversee comprehensive SEO and AEO strategies, including technical SEO audits, keyword research, and competitive analysis.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze campaign performance using key KPIs, including ROAS, CPL, CPC, and CPA, providing data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  • Client Communication: As needed on occasion, present performance insights, strategic recommendations, and campaign results to clients during meetings, QBRs, and technical consultation sessions.
  • Cross-Channel Integration: Ensure paid media and SEO strategies work together to maximize overall performance and minimize channel conflicts.
  • Contractor Management: Delegate, monitor, and quality-assure work from freelance and extended paid media team members on smaller client projects.
  • Campaign Optimization: Conduct A/B testing, audience research, keyword analysis, and bid management to continuously improve campaign performance.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Create comprehensive performance reports that clearly communicate ROI, opportunities, and strategic recommendations to both internal teams and clients.
  • Technology Integration: Leverage advanced advertising technologies, analytics platforms, and SEO tools to enhance campaign management and data analysis capabilities.

Role Opportunities

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead performance marketing strategy in collaboration with Marketing Strategists and AMs, and serve as the go-to expert for paid media and SEO best practices.
  • Process Innovation: Help refine and improve the agency's performance marketing processes, tools, and reporting methodologies.
  • Team Education: Mentor and train contracted paid media team, and provide insight for the whole agency on performance marketing trends and techniques.
  • Business Development: Support sales efforts by conducting performance marketing audits and presenting strategic recommendations to prospects.

You May Be A Good Fit If You Have

  • 8-10+ years of B2B performance marketing experience, with a proven track record of managing significant advertising budgets and delivering measurable ROI.
  • Advanced expertise in Google Ads, Bing, LinkedIn, and Facebook/Meta advertising platforms, with a deep understanding of B2B audience targeting and conversion optimization.
  • Strong SEO background, including technical SEO, keyword research, competitor analysis, and understanding of how SEO complements paid media strategies.
  • Experience with AEO and emerging search technologies.

  • Proficiency with analytics platforms, including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, SEMrush, and other performance marketing tools.
  • HubSpot or similar marketing automation experience for lead tracking and attribution.
  • Contractor/team management experience with the ability to delegate and quality-assure work from external resources.

  • Details Define Us - We are "laser focused" on the smallest of details.

  • Analytical thinker who can quickly identify performance trends, opportunities, and areas for optimization.
  • Flexible, willing to wear 'different hats' and adapt quickly to different client industries and business models.
  • Available - performance marketing campaigns require monitoring and optimization outside of standard office hours.
  • Witty! We find ways to laugh every day, and want you to be a part of that.
  • Excited to be part of a small (but quickly growing) agency.
  • Bonus: Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies, Accelo, advanced HubSpot certifications, and B2B industries like SaaS, Finance, Manufacturing, or Professional Services.
