Email & SMS Strategist 

Location: Remote (US only)

Reports to: Marketing Director 

Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000 annually, depending on experience

We’re expanding our in-house Marketing Team with the addition of a hands-on, data-driven, detail-oriented Email and SMS Strategist to lead campaign and flow design, implementation, and optimization within the Klayvio platform. 

About the Role - 

The Email and SMS Strategist will lead the charge for planning, designing, implementing, and scheduling all email and SMS campaigns, as well as building new, automated flows and optimizing existing automations. You will also be charged with growing email lists, creating detailed customer segments, and crafting engaging messaging to communicate with our new and existing customers. You will work closely with the Marketing Team to support ongoing efforts to drive revenue across channels. 

This is a remote role, ideal for a person who is self-motivated, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys digging into data and testing. At Kosmos Q, we pride ourselves on accomplishing big wins with a lean team, so this role will be both strategic and tactical.  

What You’ll Do - 

• Lead Email & SMS Strategy: Manage the planning, designing, and implementation of all email and SMS campaigns and flows 
• Creative Collaboration: Work together with the Marketing Team to plan and design campaigns as well as building out the marketing calendar 
• Testing and Optimization: Identify creative ways to split test campaigns and automations, analyze performance to identify winners, and optimize winning elements to increase performance 
• Metric Reporting: Provide reviews of key email and SMS metrics, including, but not limited to CTR, open rates, revenue generated, list growth, bounce rates, etc.   
• Copywriting: With help from the Marketing Team, this role will be responsible for communicating with our customers in alignment with our brand’s voice 
• Scheduling and Implementation: Once campaigns are approved and automations are ready, this person will take ownership of all efforts to push them live and monitor their progress 

What You’ll Bring - 

• 4+ years of email marketing experience, preferably with direct-to-consumer brands
• Hands-on experience within an email and SMS platform, such as Klayvio, ActiveCampaign, etc. 
• Previous experience within Klayvio is a big plus 
• Extremely detailed analytical skills with the ability to create clear, concise reports 
• Proficient with Google apps, including Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, etc. 
• History of creating campaigns and building flows/automations from start to finish
• Previous graphic design experience within Canva, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or similar platforms 
• A self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently, but also as part of a collaborative team 

Nice to Haves - 

• Previous experience with CPG brand(s), especially in the food & beverage industry or seasonal retail 
• Strong copywriting skills catering to a very niche audience 
• Cooking or grilling skills are a bonus, but not required
