Background

Fortitude Marketing is a B2B digital marketing agency focused on helping ambitious companies grow. We work across a wide range of industries, from traditional sectors like manufacturing, engineering and construction, through to online-first businesses in SaaS and e-commerce.

Most of our clients come to us at a significant point in their journey. They might be launching a new brand, scaling an existing one, or building toward an exit. Our role is to help them reach those milestones faster.

Our founder Matt Kohli is an experienced organic growth specialist who has worked across in-house marketing teams, agencies and as a freelance consultant. Alongside client work, Matt has also contributed to the wider marketing community through lecturing, speaking at events, podcast appearances and judging international marketing awards.

Until now we have operated using a specialist partner model. Matt leads strategy and remains closely involved in delivery while working with a network of experienced freelancers and partner agencies. This allows us to bring in senior level specialists across all of the marketing channels we support our clients with.

The person stepping into this role will work alongside these specialists as we continue with this successful model. You'll have the opportunity to gain bespoke training from genuinely experienced individuals across whatever channels you want to develop in. We're looking for someone who's keen to learn and grow through that collaboration.

This will be our first full-time hire. We're looking for someone who wants to grow alongside the business as the team expands.

The role

You'll have the opportunity to work across a range of areas designed to drive growth for B2B companies. Much of what we do centres on organic marketing and SEO, but depending on the client and the opportunity, you may also get exposure to digital PR, account-based marketing (ABM), organic social, and campaign planning.

We're not looking for a specialist in every area. We're looking for someone who understands how different channels work together and wants to develop into a well-rounded strategist. The role also has a client-facing element, involving conversations around marketing plans, performance, and new initiatives.

This role is fully remote, with optional in person co-work days if you're based near Milton Keynes or London.

About you

You enjoy thinking about marketing beyond a single channel and want to understand how it connects to real business growth.

Ideally you will have SEO experience plus at least one of the areas below:

  • Content marketing
  • Digital PR
  • Account-based marketing (ABM)
  • Organic social

You're keen to learn and develop your skills across the broader marketing mix. We work as a connected team across our network, with regular calls, socials, and collaboration, so you'll be working alongside experienced specialists who can support your development.

Salary

We're having conversations with people at all levels, so it's hard to provide one fixed salary range.

From our research, people who are more junior typically fit within the £24,000 to £30,000 range. Those with more experience who can contribute strategically from the outset usually fall into the £30,000 to £40,000 range.

As a rough guide, people with one to two years experience usually fit into the first range, while those with three or more years typically fall into the second.

That said, we know experience isn't always linear, so if the role sounds interesting, apply anyway and we can discuss where you fit.
