Job Description

We’re so excited to potentially meet you! Please note: you will need to complete a Google form (linked below) to complete your application.

About Elavi

Elavi is a high-growth, venture-backed food CPG brand on a mission to bring permissible indulgence to the masses. Our products, including high-protein brownies and dessert cashew butters, are sold nationally in 2,000+ retailers including Whole Foods, Costco, Amazon, Thrive Market, and more. We move fast. We hold each other accountable. And we love sweet snacks.

The Role

This is a critical execution role in a company that is scaling quickly across multiple retail channels, Amazon, and DTC. You will own finished goods inventory from the moment product leaves our co-manufacturer to the moment it lands in the hands of a customer, retailer, or distribution center. You are the connective tissue between supply and demand.

You will work hand-in-hand with our Director of Supply Chain (who owns everything upstream: ingredients, co-manufacturers, and production planning) and our Demand Planner to make sure we never go out of stock, never miss a fill rate, and never get caught off guard on inventory approaching best-by dates. You will also partner closely with Sales and Marketing to stay ahead of commercial activity and make sure inventory is positioned to support it.

You report to the COO. You own your function. You do not wait to be told what to do.

What You'll OwnFinished Goods Inventory Management

  • Own finished goods inventory visibility across all distribution points: our 3PL, UNFI/Kehe warehouses, Amazon FBA, and retailer DCs
  • Monitor inventory levels in real time and proactively flag low stock, potential stockouts, or product approaching best-by dates before they become a problem
  • Build and maintain reorder triggers and min/max thresholds by location and channel so nothing falls through the cracks
  • Partner with the Director of Supply Chain to ensure production timing aligns with inventory needs across all channels

Fulfillment Execution & Logistics

  • Coordinate outbound shipments to all end points: retail DCs, Amazon FBA warehouses, UNFI, our 3PL, and DTC fulfillment
  • Track inbound and outbound shipments end-to-end, troubleshoot delays, and escalate discrepancies immediately
  • Own freight and carrier coordination for finished goods movement, ensuring on-time, in-full (OTIF) performance across all channels
  • Manage and reconcile inventory across systems (Cin7, Amazon Seller Central, SPS Commerce/EDI) to maintain accurate real-time counts

Amazon Inventory Operations

  • Own Amazon FBA inventory: send-in plans, replenishment cadence, stranded inventory resolution, and storage limit management
  • Monitor IPI score, aged inventory, and sell-through rates to minimize long-term storage fees and maximize in-stock rates
  • Coordinate with the Head of Growth on inventory positioning ahead of promotional events, Prime Day, and seasonal pushes

Wholesale & Retailer Compliance

  • Manage EDI orders and wholesale fulfillment through SPS Commerce, ensuring accuracy and on-time shipping
  • Own UNFI deductions and chargebacks: identify root causes, build dispute documentation, and track resolution to closure
  • Maintain compliance with retailer routing guides and labeling requirements to minimize deductions and penalties

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to get ahead of inventory needs tied to retail resets, promotions, and new door openings
  • Flag inventory risks to the COO, Director of Supply Chain, and Head of Growth early enough to act, not react
  • Work with Finance on inventory valuations, COGS inputs, and working capital visibility as needed

Who You AreYou are obsessively detail-oriented

  • You catch discrepancies before anyone else does. A number that looks off gets investigated, not ignored
  • You keep your inventory data clean, current, and trustworthy across every system

You are proactive, not reactive

  • You don't wait for a stockout alert. You see it coming and act before it becomes a problem
  • You surface issues early, bring options, and communicate clearly. Leadership never finds out about a problem from a buyer

You build systems

  • You love creating the infrastructure that makes your function run without you needing to firefight every day
  • You have strong opinions about how inventory should be tracked, and you've built the tools to back it up

You thrive in fast-moving environments

  • You've worked in a CPG startup before. You know what it means to have ownership of a function with no playbook handed to you
  • You can juggle multiple priorities across multiple channels and not drop anything

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of inventory, fulfillment, or operations experience in a CPG startup environment
  • Hands-on experience managing Amazon FBA inventory, including send-in plans, replenishment, and IPI management
  • Direct experience working with UNFI: order processing, deduction resolution, and wholesale compliance
  • Familiarity with EDI/SPS Commerce for wholesale order management
  • Experience with inventory management systems; Cin7 is a strong plus but not required
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, and Marketing and translate inventory data into clear business decisions
  • Strong communicator who can flag a critical issue clearly and concisely without being prompted

Nice to Have

  • Experience managing inventory across a multi-channel brand (DTC + retail + Amazon simultaneously)
  • Background working at a brand that scaled significantly during your tenure
  • Familiarity with Shopify, Thrive Market, or Life Time Fitness fulfillment requirements
  • Comfort building trackers, dashboards, or SOPs in Notion, Google Sheets, or similar tools

What We Offer

  • $75,000 – $90,000 annualized salary, DOE
  • Medical, dental, major holidays off, and unlimited PTO
  • Equity opportunity in a high-growth, venture-backed startup
  • Direct collaboration with the founding team and a front-row seat to scaling a brand nationally
  • A culture that moves fast, holds high standards, and likes to win

How to Apply

  • Please complete our screening questionnaire here: https://forms.gle/aJsUDvTZEigKs1Gq6 and we will reach out if it's a good fit. Direct outreach through LinkedIn or email will not be reviewed.
