Growth Marketing Lead
Job Description
Posted on: April 1, 2026
About UsBrisk Teaching is the leading AI platform for K-12 educators, empowering teachers to deliver personalized, curriculum-aligned instruction at scale. Our Classroom Intelligence tools connect teachers, students, and curriculum—making meaningful learning happen in classrooms every day. We believe the best technology is cutting-edge, respects teachers’ time, integrates into real classrooms, and helps educators focus on what matters most. Since launching, Brisk has experienced rapid growth. Over 2 million teachers use our platform, and we partner with districts and schools nationwide to transform how educators teach and how students learn. We're backed by leading venture and edtech investors including Bessemer Venture Partners (Shopify, LinkedIn, Anthropic, Perplexity) and Owl Ventures (Newsela, Quizlet, MasterClass), with a team spanning top AI companies and real classroom experience. We're a fast-moving, collaborative team driven by a shared commitment to educator impact and product excellence. Our values—urgency, ownership, and focus—shape how we build and who we are. The Opportunity We're not looking for a growth marketer. We're looking for a growth obsessive — someone who wakes up thinking about distribution, gets unreasonably excited about a conversion lift, and can't help building something when they see a gap. This is a senior individual contributor role with a founder's scope. You'll own Brisk's teacher growth engine — B2C, top of funnel through retention — designing the experiments, building the infrastructure, and shipping the ideas that get millions of teachers to discover, use, and stay on Brisk. You set the agenda, you find the leverage, you make it happen. Teachers are your audience. You'll understand how they discover tools, what makes them share something with a colleague, what keeps them coming back after a chaotic week. You'll build growth systems calibrated to that reality — not generic SaaS playbooks. You'll be Brisk's first dedicated growth hire — meaning there's real momentum here already, but you're the first person whose entire job is to wake up thinking about this, own the roadmap, and push it forward every day. You bring your own ideas to the table and the drive to see them through — writing the brief, building the prototype, shipping the test. You're as comfortable in a dashboard as you are in a doc, and you use data to make decisions, not just to report on them. You'll have close partners in the marketing and product teams, but when it comes to growth, you're the one making it happen. If you've been known to vibe-code a landing page because the idea couldn't wait — and you know how to bring teammates along to make it scale — you might be exactly who we're looking for. You WillOwn the teacher growth engine — end to end
- You own the B2C funnel from first impression to retained advocate. You'll set the strategy and the backlog — acquisition, activation, retention, referral — then work it, test it, break it, and rebuild it until the numbers move. You'll partner closely with Product, Lifecycle, Brand, and Field to connect growth bets to what's happening across the business.
Create seasonal growth plays that actually land
- Teachers live on a school calendar and so will you. You'll partner tightly with Social and Campaign to build major growth moments into back-to-school, winter break, testing season, and summer — turning cultural moments in the educator world into acquisition and re-engagement engines. You won't just plug into campaigns; you'll co-architect the growth layer underneath them.
Drive creative, high-leverage experiments
- Not just A/B tests. We're talking wild ideas that most marketers would talk themselves out of. You'll design experiments that blend behavioral psychology, storytelling, and technical creativity — referral loops, viral mechanics, landing pages that actually convert, in-product nudges that feel human. You'll have a bias toward bold and a respect for the data that tells you whether bold worked.
Build scalable growth systems
- You won't just spec the work — you'll build it. Automations, event tracking, attribution models, dashboards, integrations. You're comfortable inside Webflow, HubSpot, Klaviyo, and Posthog. You can write a script, wire up a zap, or prompt your way to a working prototype. You leave behind infrastructure that compounds.
Lead activation and retention depth
- You care as much about what happens after the install as before it. You'll use behavioral data to find friction, surface "aha" moments, and turn new users into the kind of teachers who evangelize Brisk in the staff lounge.
Be the data pulse of growth
- You monitor obsessively and communicate clearly. You own the metrics, the reporting, and the so-what. You build dashboards that give leadership the picture, then tell them what to do about it.
You Have
- 6–10 years of experience in growth marketing, ideally in EdTech.
- Proven track record running experiments that delivered measurable, scalable growth.
- A history of building, not just advising. You've taken ideas from concept to live without needing a team of five to get there.
- Experience vibe coding. You're not a full-stack engineer, but you're comfortable enough with code, no-code, and AI tools to build without always waiting on someone else.
- Creativity -- the playbook bores you. You're always testing the angle no one else tried.
- Analytical honesty. You're excited by what works and just as curious about what doesn't. You don't fall in love with your hypotheses.
- Founder energy. You set your own bar, you close your own loops, and you default to figuring it out.
- Deep care about teachers. Brisk's mission isn't a talking point for you — it shapes how you think about every experiment you run.
Bonus
- Background in edtech
- Technical fluency with Webflow, HubSpot, Klaviyo, Posthog, and GA4
WHY THIS ROLE?:
- You’ll own growth end to end at a fast-scaling AI edtech startup.
- You’ll work with a creative, data-driven, and mission-focused team that values both hustle and heart.
- Remote-first culture, flexible hours, and meaningful work that makes a difference in classrooms.
