Role DescriptionThe Market Research Assistant / Market Research Analyst is responsible for conducting comprehensive market research, analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, and delivering actionable insights that support business strategy, product development, customer engagement, and market expansion. This role transforms complex market information into meaningful recommendations that enable informed decision-making and sustainable business growth.Key responsibilities include collecting, validating, organizing, and analyzing data from surveys, customer feedback, industry reports, market databases, digital analytics, and public sources. The role evaluates consumer behavior, purchasing trends, market dynamics, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities, risks, and emerging trends.The position prepares market research reports, competitor analyses, presentations, dashboards, executive summaries, and business recommendations that communicate findings in a clear, structured, and data-driven manner. It also conducts market sizing, customer segmentation, pricing analysis, product positioning research, trend forecasting, and performance evaluations to support strategic planning and marketing initiatives.The role collaborates with marketing, product, sales, finance, strategy, and management teams to define research objectives, support campaign evaluation, improve customer insights, and provide analytical recommendations for business growth. It also contributes to enhancing research methodologies, data quality, reporting frameworks, and business intelligence processes to improve the accuracy and efficiency of research activities.Continuous monitoring of industry developments, consumer preferences, economic conditions, technological innovations, and competitor strategies is essential to ensure research outputs remain relevant, timely, and aligned with organizational objectives.QualificationsStrong understanding of market research methodologies, business analysis, consumer behavior, competitive intelligence, and quantitative and qualitative research techniques. Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex market data to support business decisions.Proficiency in spreadsheet applications, survey platforms, data analysis tools, reporting software, business intelligence platforms, and presentation tools. Familiarity with statistical analysis, data visualization tools, and digital analytics platforms is an advantage.Strong analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify market trends, evaluate business performance, generate meaningful insights, and develop practical recommendations.Knowledge of survey design, sampling techniques, market sizing, customer segmentation, pricing analysis, competitor benchmarking, forecasting methods, and key performance measurement concepts.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare professional research reports, presentations, executive summaries, and analytical documentation for diverse stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple research projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative, and results-driven environment.
