About The Role We are seeking a talented and experienced Digital Marketing Content Manager to join the Granicus Experience Group (GXG), our in-house digital agency. This dynamic team of strategists, analysts, communicators, and technology experts is focused on enhancing customer experience and digital communications for government clients. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and creating engaging digital content across multiple channels, including social media, web pages, and marketing collateral. Your primary focus will be to develop and execute creative campaigns that support the agency’s communication and stakeholder engagement objectives. You will lead the agency’s social media presence on platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Facebook, and YouTube, ensuring consistency in brand voice and leveraging current trends to maximize outreach. Additionally, you will support the creation of external marketing materials like program descriptions, event summaries, fact sheets, and stakeholder toolkits, along with internal communications. This role requires strong project management skills, the ability to handle multiple priorities, and a passion for delivering impactful digital content that aligns with government mission and community needs. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, business, public policy, economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing social media platforms and digital content for organizations, preferably within government sectors.
- Proven success in developing and executing social media strategies, including content creation, trend monitoring, and analytics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling web copy and marketing materials.
- Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS), email marketing platforms, and digital advertising tools.
- Ability to produce basic video content for social media and broadcast channels.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Knowledge of style guidelines and ability to make stylistic recommendations across agency-wide content.
- Proficiency in graphic design, photography, and audio/video editing is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to obtain a confidential security clearance with sponsor support, as required.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies across multiple platforms to increase engagement and visibility.
- Create, curate, and schedule compelling digital content including posts, graphics, videos, and multimedia assets.
- Monitor social media trends, analytics, and engagement metrics to optimize content performance and campaign effectiveness.
- Collaborate with internal teams to produce marketing collateral such as web pages, fact sheets, event descriptions, and stakeholder toolkits.
- Support digital advertising campaigns, microsite development, and content launches to enhance outreach efforts.
- Maintain brand consistency and style adherence across all digital content and communications.
- Manage multiple content development projects, coordinating approval processes and ensuring timely delivery.
- Assist in producing video content for social media and broadcast engagements as needed.
- Develop and update reporting systems to track digital program efforts and analyze impact.
- Support internal communications efforts by writing and editing content for newsletters, memos, and other channels.
- Stay informed about government news, digital communication trends, and industry best practices to inform content strategy.
