About the organisation 

Wildlife Preservation Clarence Valley (WPCV) is looking for a volunteer Head of Communications. Along with the other members of the WPCV Committee, you'll help guide the future of this unique environmental non-profit in the Clarence Valley.

In this role you will:

• Be the decision maker on our communications and work with a small team of volunteers
• Direct the volunteer team to accomplish the basics: send out member newsletters, social media, etc.
• Generate PR when possible
• Create awareness of WPCV and its activities through community events and social media
• Work alongside the Head of Fundraising to run fundraising campaigns and keep donors informed and updated

We're looking for someone with:

• Experience doing marketing and/or communications for a non-profit or business
• Understanding of different communication and media strategies and their effectivity (social media, email, live events, etc)
• Passion for the unique ecology of the Clarence Valley

Expectations 

Part-time: This role should average around 2-3 hours each week, including Committee meetings.

Compensation: This is a volunteer (unpaid) position who is excited about creating a legacy for the Clarence Valley. 

Remote: We are open to people outside of the Clarence Valley though we have a strong preference for people who are familiar with this unique part of Australia or who live here. Most meetings can be attended remotely though it's always great to see each other in person from time to time.
