Community & Engagement Lead (Contract, Part-Time)
Trbby is an early-stage platform helping professionals and teams build authentic brands through content. We’re building Trbby alongside our community and are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people online and making them feel welcome, valued, and included.
This role is about relationships, not automation.
Real conversations, not funnels.
What You’ll Own (Core Responsibilities)
Community Outreach & Invitations
- Reach out 1:1 to individuals on platforms like LinkedIn and X
- Thoughtfully invite people to participate in Trbby programs and initiatives
- Build trust and rapport through personal, human communication
Ongoing Community Engagement
- Maintain relationships with community members over time
- Keep conversations active through follow-ups, check-ins, and updates
- Help ensure people feel connected to Trbby beyond the first interaction
Community Feedback & Insight
- Listen for patterns, questions, and sentiment from conversations
- Share meaningful insights with the Trbby product team
- Act as an advocate for the community inside the company
Tools & Organization
- Help manage and evolve the tools used to track conversations and relationships
- Propose improvements as our community and programs grow
- Balance warmth with organization as things scale
What You’ll Likely Help With (Phase-Specific)
These responsibilities matter now, but may evolve over time:
- Supporting content for Trbby’s social channels
- Engaging with replies, comments, and messages
- Helping create and run newsletters or community updates
- Highlighting community wins, stories, and notable moments
What This Role Is Not
- Not performance marketing or paid ads
- Not influencer management
- Not customer support tickets
- Not generic social media posting
This role exists to build trust and belonging, not just reach.
Who This Role Is Great For

Role Details
- Type: 1099 Contractor
- Hours: ~15–25 hours per week (flexible)
- Pay: $25–$35/hour, depending on experience
- Location: Remote
- Term: Contract to start, with opportunity to grow over time
