Internal Quality Assessor - IT/Digital

Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Remote Working) Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 per annum About The Role We're looking for an experienced Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a fully remote role, offering flexibility and access to diverse digital learning environments. The IQA will oversee and assure the quality of assessment and delivery for:

• Gateway – Extended Certificate in Digital & IT (Level 2 and above)
• Agored Diploma in Digital Product Management (Level 4)

You'll ensure assessments comply with regulatory standards and uphold the highest quality in learner experiences and outcomes. Key Responsibilities

• Review and sample learner portfolios and assessments to ensure consistent, valid, and reliable judgements across all assessors.
• Monitor and evaluate assessment practices against awarding body requirements and internal quality criteria.
• Provide constructive feedback to assessors, guiding improvements and supporting professional development.
• Conduct remote standardisation, moderation, and calibration sessions with assessors to maintain consistency and fairness.
• Collaborate with training designers and delivery teams to enhance assessment tools and methods.
• Ensure all documentation and records of quality assurance activities are accurate, compliant, and audit-ready.

What We're Looking For

• Experience as an IQA or similar role within further education or training environments.
• Strong knowledge of digital/IT qualifications at Level 2 (Gateway – Extended Certificate) and Level 4 (Agored – Digital Product Management).
• Familiarity with regulatory quality assurance practices, internal verification, and external verification processes.
• Proficiency with remote quality assurance tools and platforms (digital portfolios, LMS, conferencing tools).
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and ability to deliver clear feedback.
• Organised, analytical, and committed to maintaining high-quality learner outcomes.
