My Client is currently looking for 2 DataBricks Analyst’s to enhance the Sales Data Analytics capability within the business.
This role will focus on optimising our Databricks environment, improving data pipelines and modelling, and enabling robust, insight‑driven reporting across Power BI and Alteryx. Working closely with the Head of Sales Data Analytics, you will help define technical standards, automate critical datasets, and ensure data quality and scalability for commercial reporting.
Key responsibilities
• Design, optimise and maintain Databricks workflows and data models to support sales, pipeline, margin and vendor performance analytics.
• Develop efficient ETL processes integrating multiple source systems (ERP, CRM, pricing, rebates, marketing).
• Collaborate with analysts and Power BI developers to ensure datasets are well‑structured and refreshed efficiently for reporting and visualisation.
• Diagnose and resolve performance issues within queries and notebooks.
• Establish governance, documentation and version control for Databricks processes.
• Support analytical initiatives such as sales forecasting, rebate optimisation and partner performance reviews.
• Work with IT, sales operations and finance teams to validate data integrity and ensure reliable lineage.
• Mentor internal analysts on Databricks best practice and workflow optimisation.
Skills and experience
• Extensive hands‑on experience with Databricks SQL, PySpark, and data governance within an enterprise or commercial environment.
• Proven ability to design and implement scalable Databricks architecture (delta tables, workflows, clusters, notebooks).
• Strong working knowledge of Power BI and Alteryx, including integration with Databricks for end‑to‑end analytics solutions.
• Background in sales, commercial or revenue operations data desirable — comfortable working with pipeline, bookings and margin analysis.
• Proficient in SQL, with a sound understanding of data modelling principles (star schemas, incremental refresh, performance optimisation).
• Excellent analytical and communication skills; confident explaining data challenges and technical decisions to non‑technical audiences.
• Self‑starter with the ability to manage priorities, structure work independently and deliver results in a fast‑paced, distributed environment.
