The Company
Our client, is the world’s largest AI community. Since its launch in January 2023, Our client has built a global audience through its flagship daily newsletter, thriving social media presence, and its educational platform—AI University.
Role Overview
As Head of Growth, you will be at the forefront of expanding audience of the client and impact across its core platforms: the AI newsletter and AI University. This role blends growth strategy, performance marketing, and editorial vision to help scale a high-impact media brand.
Key Responsibilities
Growth Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and manage performance marketing campaigns across Facebook, Twitter, newsletter ad networks, and influencer partnerships.
- Conduct weekly analysis of campaign performance to identify high-value channels and reallocate budgets accordingly.
- Design and execute A/B tests for landing pages and onboarding flows to optimize conversion and engagement.
- Collaborate with creative team on crafting high-performing campaign copy and messaging.
Audience Development & Retention:
- Leverage audience surveys and first-party data to enrich segmentation and personalization strategies.
- Partner with deliverability specialists to maintain high inbox rates for newsletter campaigns.
- Act as a content strategist to elevate editorial, branding, messaging, and user experience of the newsletter.
Collaboration & Leadership:
- Work cross-functionally with media, creative, and executive leadership to align growth efforts with company goals.
- Provide strategic insights to enhance subscriber engagement, retention, and monetization.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing high-spend paid campaigns (six figures/month), particularly on Facebook.
- Demonstrated success growing digital media brands or newsletters, with deep understanding of email-based growth.
- Skilled in growth, lifecycle, or performance marketing, preferably in a high-growth startup or media environment.
- Strong copywriting skills, with ability to create compelling campaigns that resonate with broad audiences.
- Experience in A/B testing, funnel optimization, and subscriber journey design.
- Analytical mindset with strong proficiency in campaign performance analysis and channel attribution.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Beehiiv or similar email publishing platforms.
- Strong data segmentation capabilities and experience identifying high-quality growth channels.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, remote-first environment and collaborates well with cross-functional teams.
