About The Role
The Digital Content Specialist will play a vital role in managing and enhancing McKesson’s digital presence. This position involves creating, managing, and optimizing digital content across various enterprise channels to effectively communicate McKesson’s value proposition and brand message. The successful candidate will collaborate with marketing, sales, and digital enablement teams to develop compelling content that engages targeted audiences, supports marketing campaigns, and drives organizational goals. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong writing and editing skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Digital Content Specialist will also be responsible for analyzing content performance metrics, implementing improvements, and supporting digital modernization initiatives to ensure content delivery is efficient, accessible, and impactful.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, content strategy, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience in marketing, digital marketing, or content development
- Proficiency in creating content for digital channels and campaigns
- Strong editing skills with a clear, concise writing style (preferably familiar with AP style)
- Experience working with content management systems, email marketing tools, and digital content platforms
- Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills
- Highly organized self-starter capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines
- Knowledge of healthcare, distribution, or pharmacy environments is a plus
- Experience with go-to-market programs or product launches is desirable
Responsibilities
- Manage and publish digital content across McKesson enterprise channels, including website, intranet, SharePoint, and email platforms
- Develop and refine digital content to align with SCO’s value proposition, brand voice, and channel standards
- Optimize content for consistency, accessibility, quality, and user experience
- Partner with digital enablement teams to track analytics, measure content performance, and implement improvements
- Review and update content regularly to ensure accuracy and clarity
- Create high-impact digital collateral such as landing pages, microsites, and business detail pages
- Evaluate organizational priorities to determine optimal channels and delivery methods for targeted outreach
- Build and maintain relationships with internal teams (sales, marketing, design, A/V) and external vendors to ensure cohesive messaging and visuals
- Drive digital modernization efforts by sourcing and implementing scalable content distribution approaches
- Research digital marketing best practices and incorporate innovative solutions, including AI tools, to enhance content effectiveness
- Contribute to marketing campaigns and event planning, including content creation, timeline management, and stakeholder coordination
- Analyze feedback and performance data to continuously improve content strategies and campaign outcomes
- Support ad hoc projects and initiatives within the SCO marketing and communications team
- Act as a reliable resource for enterprise partners, maintaining a working knowledge of SCO teams and processes
