Content Manager
Job Description
Posted on: February 27, 2026
Studio Freight is looking for a detail-obsessed Content Manager to own the bridge between design, development, and the CMS. You’ll be responsible for ensuring content systems are clean, usable, and production-ready so builds move faster, launches are calmer, and teams stay focused on what they do best. You translate what’s designed in Figma into real, durable content systems, ensuring schemas, templates, and populated content are accurate, scalable, and ready to ship.
Our ideal candidate understands how great digital experiences are actually built, and make the process smoother by being highly organized, deeply detail-oriented, and communicating clearly. They take pride in making complex systems feel simple for teams and clients, protecting the quality of the work by setting clear guidelines, catching issues early, and acting as first-line support when content questions arise.
Responsibilities
Your day-to-day responsibilities.
- Own CMS systems across studio projects, including schemas, templates, and internal documentation.
- Create and maintain clear, client-facing CMS guides tailored to each project.
- Populate CMS content during active builds and ensure content completeness shortly after development kickoff.
- Coordinate with designers to collect missing assets, including design and motion files.
- Export assets from Figma and upload them accurately into the CMS.
- Test new builds and flag issues early to prevent downstream problems.
- Create Jira tickets when designers or developers need to make adjustments.
- Create or edit CMS schemas where development support is not required and review schemas to ensure designs and functional specs can be achieved.
- Oversee client CMS usage, advising on best practices and flagging incorrect or inconsistent usage.
- Act as first-line support for client CMS questions to avoid distracting design and development teams.
- Work with internal and external content creators to ensure copy and assets are delivered to spec and implemented correctly.
Experience
Your experience that sets you up for success.
- 6+ months of hands-on experience working with a headless CMS such as Storyblok, Sanity, or Contentful.
- Working knowledge of Figma and an understanding of how designs translate into content structures.
- Background as an artworker, copywriter, or QA is strongly beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational discipline across multiple projects.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills — you document, explain, and guide confidently.
- Comfort working closely with designers, developers, and clients in fast-moving environments.
