Job Description

We’re looking for a true team player who wants to make an impact and help grow SRM, particularly in the higher ed space. This role reports to the Marketing Director and, in collaboration with the team, will be responsible for expanding our thought leadership, brand building and lead generation efforts in the higher ed space. This role supports the development of the overall strategy as well as planning, implementing, executing, and analyzing across all campaigns and initiatives.

We’re looking for someone to help build a marketing-led, high-trust lead generation engine that:

  • Keeps us visible and top-of-mind in the market by producing educational, informative, and relevant content
  • Builds brand awareness and trust over time so that when institutions are ready, we’re on their short list
  • Generates qualified inbound or marketing-nurtured leads that the sales team can engage

This role is ideal for someone who understands the nuances of the higher education market, can craft thoughtful content campaigns targeted to higher education decision-makers, and is passionate about helping colleges and universities find impactful solutions that elevate their courses and support a better student experience and outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Design and execute a multichannel lead generation and brand visibility plan that targets higher education institutions, delivers engaging content, and produces qualified leads.
  • Partner with sales leadership to develop and align lead generation planning efforts for the higher ed market, including campaign strategy and implementation across channels.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and recommend content topics and formats (blogs, white papers, case studies, etc.) that align with the higher ed buyer journey and lead gen goals, then write and produce content aligned with SRM’s brand and voice. Collaborate with a learning experience designer or other SMEs as needed to deepen impact and accuracy.
  • In conjunction with the Marketing Director, grow, implement, and manage marketing programs to support lead generation in higher ed. Focus areas include email marketing, webinars, and content marketing.
  • Write and produce high-impact content including emails, white papers, landing pages, case studies, and blog posts tailored to higher education audiences.
  • Contribute to higher ed–focused webinar series, including development of topics, recruitment of speakers and attendees, follow-up nurture sequences, and reporting on key metrics.
  • Recommend new and innovative campaigns, strategies, tactics, and technologies.
  • Measure and analyze campaign performance, optimizing the approach for performance and budget.
  • Provide inputs to higher ed RFP responses as needed.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of relevant marketing experience.
  • Higher ed or ed-tech experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to create content that reflects subject matter expertise and positions company as a trusted partner. Able to translate subject matter expertise into thought leadership—skilled at extracting insights from internal experts and shaping them into market-relevant, high-impact narratives.
  • Proven work experience designing, developing, implementing, and managing lead generation strategies and campaigns.
  • A strong understanding of account-based marketing (ABM), lead generation, segmentation, CRM tools, and lead funnel development.
  • Understanding of the higher education buyer journey and institutional decision-making processes.
  • Proven experience writing compelling, strategic content that appeals to higher education decision-makers.
  • Works well with others in a fast-paced, virtual environment while managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Great organization and follow-up, able to manage deadlines and team commitments, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
