The Role

The Klaviyo Email Marketing Specialist plays a vital role in developing, executing, and optimising all email and SMS marketing activity for our eCommerce clients. You’ll be responsible for owning email and SMS strategy from end to end: from implementing proven processes and methods, building and managing campaigns and automations in Klaviyo, through to interpreting performance data and presenting insights back to clients.

This role demands a proactive strategic thinker who also thrives on implementing proven processes and methods to get client results. You will manage your workload and client communication supported by our client comms processes, applying attention to detail to every stage of campaign planning and execution. Your work will drive meaningful customer engagement and strong results for some of the World’s most exciting independent brands.

You’ll be expected to work collaboratively with Neon’s performance and creative teams to deliver aligned, cross-channel marketing strategies. In some cases, creative and copywriting support will be provided, while in others you’ll be expected to produce or refine these directly. This includes proactively sharing insight, flagging risks, and spotting opportunities for improvement across the full customer journey. A high level of attention to detail, responsiveness and accountability is essential.

We’re looking for someone who loves the e-commerce world end to end. You don’t need to be an expert in all areas but a keen interest and a thirst for knowledge will stand you in good stead.

The right candidate will be someone who can work autonomously and take initiative to problem solve bringing solutions to the team. We’re looking for someone who knows that the sum of all efforts is what drives the best results for the client and the agency. We’re looking for someone who is personable but is also able to get a point across and challenge when needed.

You’re a brilliant communicator and people trust you because you're calm and organised without being rigid. You bring structure without being strict and know when to adapt.

Role Requirements

  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and meet deadlines without constant oversight.
  • Proactive communication skills, ensuring colleagues and clients are kept informed and aligned at every stage.
  • Demonstrated experience in email marketing, with a strong understanding of campaign planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Confident user of Klaviyo, with experience building and managing campaigns, flows and segments.
  • Solid understanding of SMS marketing best practices, including segmentation, compliance, and integration within broader lifecycle marketing.
  • Strong analytical skills and commercial awareness, with the ability to interpret data and drive action from performance insights.
  • High standard of written communication and confident verbal presentation skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail across all aspects of campaign management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently across different clients, campaigns, and deadlines. Demonstrates strong organisational planning, proactive communication, and the ability to adapt quickly without compromising on delivery quality.
  • Confident working independently, while contributing constructively within a wider team.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of email and SMS marketing trends, tools and industry developments.
