Role Description The Social Advertising Manager is a project/contract based, off-site/WFH role. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and optimising paid social advertising campaigns across platforms such as Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels. Day-to-day tasks include developing media plans, setting campaign objectives, managing budgets, and monitoring performance to ensure campaigns meet KPIs and deliver measurable results. The Social Advertising Manager will collaborate with internal teams and clients to translate business goals into targeted social strategies, brief creative assets, and maintain clear communication on campaign progress. The role also involves analysing data, preparing performance reports, recommending testing and optimisation strategies, and staying up to date with platform updates, best practices, and emerging trends in social advertising.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to present campaign strategies and results clearly to stakeholders.
- Experience in sales and client relationship management, with the ability to identify growth opportunities within existing accounts.
- Solid marketing and advertising skills, particularly in paid social media planning, execution, and optimisation.
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, timelines, and priorities simultaneously.
- Hands-on experience with major social advertising platforms and analytics tools (e.g., Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, Google Analytics, or similar) including experience with; pixel validation and event review, conversion tracking refinement, UTM standardisation for reporting consistency, troubleshooting and resolution of tracking discrepancies.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills and attention to detail in reporting and performance tracking.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an off-site/WFH team environment and coordinate effectively with creative and account teams.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in a digital agency or media environment, particularly in social advertising roles, is highly beneficial.
