We are seeking a motivated and experienced Team Leader โ Business Development (APAC) to lead a growing team of Business Development Representatives across the Asia-Pacific region. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a high-performance, outbound sales environment and is passionate about coaching, scaling teams, and building pipeline.
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for developing the outbound strategy, monitoring performance, and ensuring the team consistently meets pipeline generation targets across multiple APAC markets. This role is fully remote but requires someone based in Australia who can collaborate effectively across time zones and cultures.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) across APAC
- Define and drive outbound sales strategies, including cold calling, email outreach, and LinkedIn engagement
- Own team performance metrics: outbound activity levels, meetings booked, conversion rates, and pipeline contribution
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps to optimize lead generation campaigns and tools
- Provide ongoing training, coaching, and performance feedback to BDRs
- Analyze market trends, territories, and data to identify new opportunities for lead generation
- Ensure high-quality data hygiene and activity tracking within the CRM (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement platforms (e.g., Outreach, Salesloft)
- Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and process documentation as the team grows
Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years of experience in business development.
- 1โ2+ years of experience in a team lead or supervisory role managing BDRs or SDRs
- Proven success in outbound B2B sales, preferably within tech, SaaS, or a high-growth environment
- Strong understanding of APAC markets and business culture
- Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales tools (Salesloft, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
- Excellent communication, coaching, and organizational skills
- Data-driven and results-oriented; able to identify gaps and improve performance
- Comfortable working remotely and independently while leading a distributed team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in managing or selling into Japan, Korea, ANZ, or Southeast Asia
- Fluency in any additional APAC language is a plus
- Previous experience working with or supporting global clients or enterprise accountsWhat We Offer
