First off, Rust Belt Club is very new, like very new. Lots of room for growth. We are an apparel company specializing in shirts and hoodies you'd find on a cross country roadtrip. Apparel featuring people you've never heard of, places you've never been and things that may not exist. You know when you see someone wearing a short of you don't recognize and you're like "what's that mean" on their shirt? Well, that's us in a nutshell. Celebrating the grit, humor, and pride of America’s heartland. We tell stories about underdogs, rivalries, and hometown heroes — the people and culture that define the Rust Belt spirit.

Position Overview

Rust Belt Club is looking for a part-time, remote Social Media Manager to lead our online presence across TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn and Pinterest. This remote role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes social media — a creative self-starter who can plan, post, and grow an audience that loves sports, humor, and Midwest culture. If you're on social media all of the time anyway, might as well get paid a little for it.

Key ResponsibilitiesContent Strategy & Execution

• Develop and manage a monthly content calendar for all platforms.
• Create short-form video concepts and collaborate on editing (using CapCut, Canva, or similar tools).
• Write engaging, witty captions and taglines that reflect Rust Belt Club’s tone — bold, blue-collar, and funny.
• Schedule and publish content consistently across channels.

Community Engagement

• Respond to comments, DMs, and community interactions with authenticity.
• Engage with sports creators, fans, and micro-influencers to grow brand visibility.
• Help foster a sense of belonging and humor-driven community around Rust Belt Club.

Growth & Analytics

• Track engagement, reach, and growth metrics weekly.
• Experiment with trends, hashtags, and posting times to optimize performance.
• Provide monthly reports on what’s working — and fresh ideas to keep momentum going.

What We’re Looking For

• 1-2+ years of experience managing brand or creator social media accounts.
• Perfect for an undergrad or someone looking to have a little more income on the side!
• Strong copywriting and short-form storytelling skills.
• Up-to-date on TikTok and Instagram trends, memes and humor.
• Familiarity with basic video editing (CapCut, Reels editor, Premiere, etc.).
• Comfortable working independently and remotely with flexible hours.

Nice to Have

• Experience with e-commerce, merch drops, or Shopify social integration.
• Interest in sports and pop culture

Compensation & Hours

• Part-Time (1-2 per day, 5-10 hours per week), no set hours
• $250-$350/week
• Remote / Flexible Schedule
