Position Summary
We are seeking our first Marketing Associate to join our team and drive customer acquisition as we scale. This is a foundational marketing role where you'll have significant impact on our go-to-market strategy, working directly with leadership to build scalable marketing programs that support our significant marketing investment as we accelerate growth.
Location: Remote (with travel for conferences and events)
Reports to: CEO
Team Size: You'll be the first dedicated marketing hire
Compensation: Competitive salary ($90K-$120K based on experience)
Key ResponsibilitiesContent Marketing & Thought Leadership
- Create compelling content for CISOs and CXOs at mid-market and enterprise companies
- Develop case studies showcasing significant customer ROI and cost savings
- Write blog posts, whitepapers, and executive reports on continuous risk monitoring
- Support conference speaking engagements and presentation materials
Digital Marketing & Lead Generation
- Manage digital campaigns targeting regulated industries (healthcare, financial services, manufacturing)
- Optimize website conversion and lead capture for complex enterprise sales cycles
- Develop email nurture campaigns for prospects in our pipeline
- Track and report on lead quality and conversion metrics
Conference & Event Marketing
- Support 2-3 major industry conferences annually (GRC, cybersecurity, compliance events)
- Coordinate booth presence, demos, and lead capture at events
- Manage pre-event promotion and post-event follow-up campaigns
- Help secure speaking opportunities for leadership team
Channel Partner Marketing
- Support marketing initiatives with audit and advisory firm partnerships
- Create co-marketing materials and joint value propositions
- Develop partner enablement content and training materials
- Coordinate partner referral tracking and attribution
Customer Success Marketing
- Develop customer reference programs and testimonial collection
- Create customer success stories highlighting significant operational efficiency improvements
- Support customer renewal and expansion initiatives
- Facilitate customer participation in case studies and speaking opportunities
Required QualificationsExperience
- 2-4 years of B2B marketing experience, preferably in enterprise software
- Experience marketing to technical decision-makers (CISOs, IT Directors)
- Background in cybersecurity, compliance, or GRC solutions preferred
- Track record of supporting complex enterprise sales cycles
Skills
- Excellent written communication with ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences
- Experience with marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, etc.)
- Proficiency in content creation tools and basic design capabilities
- Understanding of digital marketing channels and analytics (Google Analytics, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Project management skills with ability to handle multiple campaigns simultaneously
