Social Media Coordinator (Freelance)Time: Adhoc, 5–10 hours per week

Rate: $35/hr (up to $45/hr for the right experience)

Type: Freelance / Contractor

Location: Must be Australian. Ideally Melbourne (remote)

About the Role

Prizecart is a new Australian fashion & beauty focused shopping startup,

We’re looking for a social media freelancer to help keep our social channels active, consistent, and engaging. This is a hands-on role focused on day-to-day execution, content creation, and community interaction. You’ll work closely with the team to bring ideas to life and help maintain momentum across our platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Post content across TikTok and Instagram
  • Respond to DMs and comments
  • Monitor and engage with relevant fashion, beauty, and lifestyle accounts to drive engagement
  • Create UGC-style content (e.g. wishlist videos, trend-based posts, casual on-camera content)
  • Edit short-form content using tools like CapCut
  • Schedule posts using a social scheduling tool
  • Brainstorm content ideas with the team
  • Assist with light influencer coordination (outreach, follow-ups, tracking)

What We’re Looking For

  • Some prior experience managing social media accounts (personal or client)
  • A marketing degree or marketing background is a plus
  • Active personal TikTok and Instagram accounts we can review
  • Comfortable filming and appearing on camera
  • Familiar with short-form video trends and platform best practices
  • Able to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and good creative judgment

Nice to Have

  • Experience creating UGC content
  • Experience working with fashion, beauty, or consumer brands
  • Familiarity with social media scheduling and analytics tools
