About PowerStack

PowerStack is an executive platform connecting the senior leaders who are building, financing and enabling the next generation of power infrastructure. AI, data center expansion, electrification and new manufacturing are driving demand for power faster than the grid can keep up, and that makes power one of the biggest infrastructure challenges of the next decade. PowerStack brings together decision-makers from AI and hyperscale computing, power generation, utilities, nuclear and advanced energy, infrastructure finance and government. Our programs are built around how the whole system connects:

Demand · Power · Capital · Deployment.

Founded by Monika Kochhar, PowerStack is backed by Jonathan Weiner and Stefan Weitz, leaders behind HumanX, HLTH, ViVE, Shoptalk and Money20/20. In March 2027 we will launch the PowerStack × HumanX pavilion at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, where AI leaders will meet the people who power them. We're a small, early-stage team based in New York. Everyone who joins now will help decide what PowerStack becomes. Our ambition extends beyond conferences. We're building PowerStack into an always-on media, content and community platform that connects the people shaping the future of power. Through compelling content, a growing professional audience and thoughtfully curated experiences, we aim to create a destination for ideas, relationships and opportunities across the new power economy.

The Role

We're hiring our first Director of Brand & Audience Growth to build PowerStack's brand, community and audience engine from the ground up.

We're looking for a creative marketer who can generate excitement, grow social audiences, create compelling content and turn attention into measurable growth.

You'll own PowerStack's brand presence, content and social media strategy, audience development and digital growth. Your mission is to make PowerStack a brand that people follow, talk about, subscribe to and want to be part of — while converting that engagement into registrations, attendance and long-term commercial value.

You combine creative brand storytelling with data-driven growth, building organic audiences, mailing lists and partnerships that deliver measurable results.

This hands-on role starts as an individual contributor, supported by internal and external partners, with the opportunity to build a marketing team as PowerStack grows.

The role will initially be structured as a contract engagement through the PowerStack × HumanX event in March 2027, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time leadership position based on performance, mutual fit and PowerStack's growth.

Building From the Ground Up

This is a ground-up build. You'll create and scale PowerStack's marketing function around two milestones:

  • March 2027: the PowerStack × HumanX pavilion at Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas. This is our first large-scale presence.
  • Late 2027 / 2028: PowerStack Standalone Event (exact dates to be announced).

Build an always-on media and community presence around these milestones, using each event to expand our audience, deepen engagement and support long-term growth.

What You'll Do

Brand, Content & Social Media

  • Build and grow PowerStack into a recognizable and compelling brand across the new power economy, developing its voice, positioning, storytelling and content strategy.
  • Own PowerStack's social media presence, starting with LinkedIn and expanding into other relevant channels. Develop and execute a content calendar, create engaging content, grow followers organically and experiment with formats and distribution strategies.
  • Develop an ongoing editorial and content program that keeps PowerStack relevant between events, including thought leadership, industry insights, executive interviews, video, newsletters and other engaging formats.
  • Create excitement and momentum around PowerStack's events, announcements, speakers, partnerships and community, using creative campaigns, social storytelling and partnerships to build awareness and anticipation.

Audience & Community Growth

  • Build and grow a large, engaged first-party audience of executives, innovators, investors and other decision-makers across PowerStack's target sectors.
  • Develop and execute strategies to grow PowerStack's newsletter and email subscriber base through organic channels, content, social media, partnerships, referrals and targeted acquisition campaigns.
  • Build and nurture an engaged professional community that follows PowerStack beyond individual events, driving repeat engagement, referrals and long-term audience value.

Campaigns, Conversion & Event Marketing

  • Create and execute the marketing strategy for the March 2027 PowerStack × HumanX pavilion and subsequent PowerStack events, translating audience engagement into registrations, attendance and commercial opportunities.
  • Develop and optimize integrated digital marketing campaigns across social, email, paid media, partnerships and web, continually testing creative, messaging, targeting and conversion performance.
  • Work closely with Sales, Content, Event Operations and external partners to align audience development, sponsor visibility, event promotion and commercial objectives.

Marketing Operations & Analytics

  • Own PowerStack's email marketing, CRM and marketing automation capabilities, including HubSpot, audience segmentation, subscriber engagement, campaign workflows and performance reporting, with technical implementation support as needed.
  • Track and optimize key marketing metrics, including audience growth, engagement, email subscribers, campaign performance, registration conversion and acquisition costs, while maintaining strong standards for data quality, consent and marketing compliance.

What You Bring

  • Significant experience in brand building, digital marketing, audience development, growth marketing or content-led marketing, ideally in a high-growth company, media business, community platform or entrepreneurial environment.
  • A demonstrated track record of significantly growing social media audiences, newsletter subscribers or engaged digital communities, with measurable results and examples of campaigns personally executed.
  • Strong creative instincts, excellent storytelling ability and an understanding of what makes people pay attention, follow a brand, share content and engage with a community.
  • Hands-on experience creating and executing social media campaigns, content programs and digital growth initiatives. You are comfortable personally developing content and managing campaigns rather than exclusively directing others.
  • Proven experience building and growing email subscriber bases, newsletters or first-party audience databases, including audience acquisition, segmentation, engagement and retention.
  • Experience developing engaging digital content across multiple formats, including written content, visual storytelling, short-form video and social media campaigns, with a strong understanding of what drives organic reach and sharing.
  • Experience with digital marketing, email marketing, CRM platforms, marketing automation and performance analytics. Familiarity with HubSpot is highly desirable.
  • An understanding of how to translate audience growth into measurable outcomes, including registrations, leads, conversions, partnerships or revenue.
  • Experience growing professional, executive or consumer audiences, with the ability to apply successful D2C growth, content and community-building strategies to a B2B environment.
  • An entrepreneurial, resourceful and data-driven mindset, with the ability to move quickly, experiment, prioritize and deliver results in a lean organization.
  • Strong collaboration skills and comfort working directly with founders, senior executives, creative partners and cross-functional teams.

We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate actual audience growth results and share examples of successful content, social media or community-building campaigns they have personally executed.

Nice to Have

  • Experience building or growing a digital media brand, newsletter, professional community or membership platform.
  • Experience with D2C growth marketing, creator-led content, viral or referral-based growth, or consumer audience acquisition.
  • Experience marketing conferences, trade shows, executive forums or other major B2B events.
  • Familiarity with energy, utilities, infrastructure, AI, data centers or related markets.
  • Experience launching a new brand, building a first-year event or establishing a marketing function from the ground up.
  • Experience using AI-powered tools to accelerate content production, creative development, research and marketing workflows.

Why Join

  • Build a new brand, media and community platform at the intersection of energy, technology, infrastructure and capital — one of the most consequential sectors of the next decade.
  • Join as PowerStack's first marketing leader, with real ownership over brand strategy, creative direction, audience growth and the development of a long-term marketing engine.
  • Work alongside experienced leaders behind HumanX, HLTH, ViVE, Shoptalk and Money20/20, with the opportunity to help build a new category-defining platform.
  • Start with a highly visible March 2027 launch in partnership with HumanX, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time marketing leadership position as PowerStack expands.
