The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Business Development Manager to join our sales team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career sales professional with some exposure to healthcare SaaS to grow into a high-performing enterprise seller.

You will work closely alongside our other sales leaders and marketing teams to generate and qualify new opportunities across Australian hospitals and Healthcare Specialists. Your primary focus will be outbound prospecting, lead qualification, and progressing opportunities through to closure and handover to the Customer Success team.

Key ResponsibilitiesPipeline Generation & New Business

  • Proactively identify and research prospective hospital accounts across public (LHDs/LHNs) and private hospitals, Clinics and Healthcare Specialist groups throughout Australia.
  • Execute outbound prospecting via phone, email, LinkedIn, and in-person networking to generate qualified meetings and opportunities for the sales team.
  • Qualify inbound leads and marketing-generated enquiries, ensuring timely and professional follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate records of all prospecting activity and pipeline in CRM (Salesforce or equivalent).

Sales Execution

  • Prepare and run discovery calls, presentations, and proposal submissions.
  • Engage and influence multiple stakeholders including C-suite executives, CMOs, CNOs, CIOs, clinical leads, and procurement teams.
  • Develop compelling value propositions and ROI models tailored to the clinical and operational challenges of each account.
  • Coordinating product demonstrations, site visits, and proof-of-concept engagements.
  • Preparation of tender responses, capability statements, and RFP submissions.

Market Engagement

  • Develop a working knowledge of the Australian hospital sector, including public health funding models, state health department structures, and private hospital group priorities.
  • Attend relevant industry events, webinars, and conferences to build market awareness and professional networks.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on campaigns, account-based outreach, and event follow-up.

Learning & Growth

  • Actively engage in ongoing product training, sales methodology coaching, and healthcare industry education.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records (Salesforce, Hubspot or equivalent), including pipeline stage, deal details, and next steps.
  • Provide reliable weekly and monthly revenue forecasts to sales leadership.
  • Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual ARR targets.
  • Contribute ideas and feedback to improve outreach strategies, messaging, and sales processes

Essential Requirements

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in a B2B SaaS sales, business development, or account management role.
  • Exposure to the healthcare sector - whether through selling health IT, clinical software, medical devices, or related solutions to hospitals, health services, or healthcare organisations.
  • A genuine interest in digital health and a desire to build deep expertise in the Australian hospital market.
  • Strong communication skills - confident on the phone, polished in writing, and comfortable engaging with clinical and administrative professionals.
  • Self-motivated and organised, with the ability to manage a high volume of outbound activity while keeping CRM records up to date.
  • A growth mindset - open to feedback, eager to learn, and committed to continuous improvement.

Highly Regarded

  • Prior experience at a health tech or digital health company.
  • Familiarity with Australian public hospital structures (LHDs, LHNs, state health departments) or private hospital groups.
  • Experience using Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar CRM platforms.
  • A background in or passion for healthcare, nursing, allied health, or health administration.
