As an Executive Search Associate, you will play a critical role in the full search lifecycle — from market research and strategy to candidate identification and management. You will work side-by-side with the CEO, gaining hands-on experience in senior-level recruiting while helping build executive teams that shape industries.
This is an apprenticeship-style role with clear room to grow. You will build meaningful relationships with top-tier candidates and clients, develop a nuanced understanding of executive hiring, and contribute directly to the success of a firm that values precision, speed, and partnership.
What You’ll DoResearch & Strategy
- Conduct deep-dive market mapping and industry research to understand executive talent landscapes.
- Collaborate with the CEO to build targeted search strategies.
- Prepare client-facing materials, including candidate presentations and position specifications.
- Stay on top of emerging trends across startups, tech, and the broader venture ecosystem.
Candidate Development
- Identify and engage executive-level talent through thoughtful outreach.
- Help shape the candidate experience from initial contact through offer acceptance.
Client & Team Collaboration
- Support client communications and help maintain momentum throughout the search.
- Join client calls and play an active role in project updates, strategy sessions, and debriefs.
- Partner across a nimble internal team and contribute to process improvements and internal initiatives.
- Collaborate with venture capital firms to support portfolio company hiring and deepen strategic partnerships.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional experience in research, management consulting, venture capital, or another fast-paced, client-facing environment.
- BA/BS degree required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills — you can distill complex information clearly and compellingly.
- A curious, driven, resourceful mindset — you know how to ask the right questions and keep digging.
- Excellent organizational skills with an eye for detail and follow-through.
Preferred Qualifications
- Executive search or in-house recruiting experience preferred, but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working in or with early-stage or growth-stage companies or in client-facing roles at financial services or consulting organizations.
- Comfort with tools like Gem, LinkedIn Recruiter, and CRM systems (Greenhouse, Lever, etc.)
