Business Development Partner
Job Description
Posted on: May 21, 2026
NORU is a European youth marketing agency.
We help brands reach and convert 18–35 audiences through three core services: paid media, social media management, and youth marketing strategy. We started in 2024 and grew revenue 9× in our first full year. So far, every client we have worked with has improved their marketing and reached the goals set for the project.
Now we need the right person to help us open more of the right conversations.
The role
We are looking for a Business Development Partner. Not an employee, not a full-time hire, and not someone who just sends generic outreach messages. This is a freelance, commission-based partnership.
Your job is to find brands that could benefit from NORU, start the conversation, qualify them, and hand over strong opportunities to our management team. You do not need to close everything alone. But you do need to bring us people worth speaking to.
What you will be doing
- You will identify companies that fit NORU’s ICP: brands targeting 18–35 audiences, especially in consumer-facing sectors like lifestyle, fashion, beauty, FMCG, events, education, apps, SaaS, e-commerce, hospitality, and service businesses.
- You will reach out through LinkedIn, email, Instagram, referrals, your own network, or any channel where you know how to start real conversations.
- Your first message should never feel like a basic AI-generated outreach template. It should be personalized, relevant, and clearly written for that specific company. We want people who can spot a real opportunity and write like a human being.
- You will qualify leads through a first call or email exchange. That means understanding the company, their product or service, target audience, marketing goals, pain points, current platforms, current numbers, budget range, decision-maker, and timeline.
- If the lead is qualified, you will hand it over with a clear brief so we can continue the conversation properly.
- You will also track your outreach and follow-ups so we know what is active, what is parked, and what needs attention.
What we are looking for
- You are a strong fit if you have at least 2 years of experience in outreach, lead generation, partnerships, business development, or sales. Experience in an agency, SaaS, startup, marketing, creator economy, or B2B services environment is a strong advantage.
- We are not looking for someone who only knows how to build lead lists. We need someone who can find the right companies, understand if there is a real opportunity, and start conversations in a way that feels personal.
- You should be able to write outreach that does not sound like a basic AI template. The message should show that you actually looked at the company, understood what they do, and have a reason for reaching out. No chatGPT BS!
- You understand digital marketing well enough to speak with founders, marketing managers, and brand-side decision-makers. You do not need to be a media buyer or strategist, but you should understand paid ads, digital channels, social media, campaigns, budgets, and business goals.
- You know how to qualify a lead properly. That means checking if the company has a real need, a relevant audience, a realistic budget, a decision-maker involved, and timing that makes sense.
- You can work independently. We will give you the materials, case studies, client profile, pricing logic, outreach angles, and support, but we need someone who can take ownership of the outreach and keep moving without daily chasing.
- You are organized enough to track your outreach, follow-ups, replies, parked leads, and qualified opportunities.
- You are comfortable with a commission-only setup, where you earn when the client you bring signs and pays NORU.
- You can work as an independent contractor/freelancer and issue invoices.
- You can write and speak English confidently.
- An existing network of founders, marketers, business owners, startup people, or brand-side decision-makers is a major advantage.
- You should have enough availability to work on this consistently. This will not work if you only send a few messages once and disappear.
This role is not for you if
- You need a fixed monthly salary or retainer.
- You only want to be paid for leads, not signed clients.
- You rely on mass outreach with generic messages.
- You are not comfortable speaking with business owners or decision-makers.
- You need constant supervision to move things forward.
- You want a traditional 9–5 job with fixed tasks.
- You are looking for something passive. This only works if you are proactive.
What you get
You earn 10–15% commission from the first invoice value of every client you bring in who signs and pays NORU.
Commission is paid within 14 days after NORU receives the client’s payment, based on your invoice. Please note that you're not paid per lead or per booked call. You'll be paid once the client signs and pays.
Why this could be interesting
This isn't a role where you'll be selling services to random companies.
NORU has a clear position: we help brands reach and convert 18–35 audiences. That makes the conversation easier, because the need is usually visible. You can often see when a brand is trying to reach younger people, but the content, ads, or strategy are not strong enough.
You will not be starting from zero. We'll provide the ICP, case studies, pricing direction, outreach angles, and support on calls/proposals as needed.
Your job is clear: find the right companies, start the conversation, and bring us opportunities that are worth a proper call. If there’s a real fit, we’ll help turn it into a client.
