ABOUT US
We are a fast-growing digital marketing agency specializing in SEO for plastic surgeons, medical spas, and cosmetic dermatologists across the U.S. Our clients depend on local search visibility to drive patient inquiries and grow their practices. We manage SEO for hundreds of independently owned practices and are looking for a strategic leader to build and scale an SEO department that delivers measurable results at scale.
Beyond our current focus, we are expanding into additional medical practice verticals. This role will be instrumental in developing a systematic SEO approach that allows us to scale our business into new medical specialties.
We are also a data-driven company that continuously seeks ways to gain a competitive edge through proprietary insights. The Director of SEO will help develop and leverage data tools that aggregate information from third-party and proprietary sources to drive unique and effective SEO strategies.
THE ROLE
We are seeking a Director of SEO who is an operational leader, a “player-coach” who can bridge the gap between high-level strategy and repeatable execution, and then foster the same behavior throughout the geographically dispersed team (US and Philippines). The ideal candidate understands both the strategic and operational aspects of SEO—capable of generating measurable improvements for a single website but also able to build a scalable system that delivers SEO success across an entire portfolio.
Experience in SEO for businesses that compete in local markets is essential. The right candidate will have a deep understanding of how to dominate local search for businesses that rely on local patient acquisition, rather than SEO strategies designed for national brands.
Additionally, this leader will play a key role in expanding SEO strategies beyond plastic surgery and aesthetics into new medical verticals, developing repeatable frameworks that apply across multiple specialties.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute a scalable SEO strategy across a portfolio of several hundred plastic surgery, med spa, and dermatology websites, ensuring measurable improvements in search visibility, traffic, and lead generation.
- Implement a portfolio-wide approach to SEO, identifying common opportunities and challenges across client websites, while integrating industry best practices and innovative technology.
- Optimize for local search, ensuring Google Business Profiles and website optimizations align with high-income patient demographics in metro areas.
- Evaluate and further develop data and technology tools (including Google Analytics, Search Console and SEMrush amongst others) to optimize data aggregation and extract unique, competitive SEO insights.
- Develop and track KPIs and advanced reporting provides transparency to senior management as well as to clients.
- Lead the expansion of SEO strategies into new medical practice verticals, identifying key similarities and optimizing for new patient acquisition models.
- Foster the development of a high-performing SEO team, including resource allocation, skill development, training and performance management.
- Oversee competitor analysis to benchmark against top-performing practices in different metro areas and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Stay ahead of SEO trends and Google algorithm updates, proactively adjusting strategies to maintain and improve rankings.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in managing large-scale SEO portfolios (100+ websites) in a multi-location or multi-client environment.
- 5+ years of SEO leadership experience, including team management and process development.
- Deep expertise in local SEO, including Google Business Profile optimization, citation building, local keyword targeting, and geo-targeted content.
- Ability to execute successfully in a fast-paced environment and execute
- Experience with AI-driven and automation-based SEO approaches to scale content and optimizations.
- Strong technical SEO skills, including experience with website structure optimization, site audits, schema markup, and Core Web Vitals.
- Expert in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMrush (experience with other SEO tools is a plus).
- Proven ability to build, lead, and mentor a distributed SEO team across different time zones.
- Strong analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Experience in developing or leveraging proprietary data tools for SEO insights.
- Ability to balance strategy and execution, providing high-level direction while ensuring implementation delivers measurable results.
- Experience in expanding SEO strategies beyond a single niche, with a focus on scalable and repeatable frameworks that can apply across multiple medical specialties.
