About the role

moveBuddha is looking for a Senior Editor to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll research, create, and optimize content that helps people make smarter moving decisions while also driving business results.

This is not a simple copywriting position. You’ll be responsible for turning complex information into useful, trustworthy content that balances SEO, user experience, and conversion goals. You’ll collaborate with our writers, editors, and SEO team while also taking ownership of content processes and publishing.

The ideal candidate combines strong writing and editing skills with the ability to fact-check, use data to tell compelling stories, and think critically about how content impacts the user journey. You’ll also be highly skilled in using AI tools — not to do the work for you, but to streamline research, ideation, editing, and processes to produce higher-quality content faster.

We’ve helped thousands of people move over the past five years by producing high-quality content that simplifies the moving process. We’re growing quickly and looking for someone who can help us scale our content efforts while keeping quality and accuracy at the forefront.

Responsibilities

As our Senior Editor, you’ll:

• Research, plan, and publish high-quality content that aligns with search intent, user needs, and business goals
• Collaborate with writers and editors to improve drafts and ensure consistency of tone, structure, and accuracy
• Use AI tools expertly to accelerate workflows (research, outlining, editing, and testing variations) while applying editorial judgment for quality
• Fact-check and verify accuracy of information across all content types
• Optimize existing content for SEO, user experience, and conversions
• Use data to inform storytelling and highlight insights that make content more engaging
• Upload and publish articles in WordPress, ensuring formatting, linking, and metadata are correct
• Coordinate with the content team on graphics, style guides, and content briefs

What we’re looking for

• Native-level English speaker with exceptional writing and editing skills
• Proven experience creating and optimizing SEO-focused content (1,000–1,500-word articles and larger projects)
• Comfortable publishing in WordPress
• Expert-level proficiency with AI tools for content workflows (e.g., research, editing, ideation, process automation)
• Ability to research complex topics, fact-check claims, and synthesize information into clear, useful content
• Strong understanding of user experience and conversion optimization when structuring content
• Works well independently in a remote environment and collaborates effectively with teammates
• Bonus: knowledge of the moving industry or experience writing in related niches
