This role is an Australia-based, fully work-from-home position, with access to co-working spaces in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Job Description

As our Medical Copywriter, you will be responsible for developing high-quality content for a healthcare professional (HCP) audience. Using insights and research, you will strategically plan and write both technical and creative content across a range of print and digital marketing collateral, including email, sales detailers, product guides, educational programs, patient profiles, and case studies.

This role plays a key part in driving engagement with healthcare professionals, while ensuring all content aligns with brand tone of voice and industry regulations. It requires a creative mindset, strong communication skills, and a well-developed understanding of content creation in the healthcare space.

Content Strategy

  • Contribute to Montu Brands’ content strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, data, product, and sales, to ensure medical content supports overall business objectives.
  • Conduct thorough research on medical and scientific topics to gather relevant information to inform content strategy.

Content Creation

  • Develop marketing content from ideation to publication, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  • Produce a mix of medical and campaign copy across channels, ensuring accuracy.
  • Interpret and synthesise complex data from medical studies, clinical trials, and other credible sources, and ensure all sources are accurately referenced.
  • Create well informed and compliant medical content for various formats, including eDMs, medical education, sales collateral, digital content, conference slides, advisory board minutes, articles, blog posts, etc.
  • Ensure consistent brand voice and tone across all content touchpoints.

Reporting & Regulations

  • Analyse content performance metrics and use data-driven insights to optimise medical content strategy and drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in medical content marketing, recommending innovative approaches to engage target audiences.
  • Stay up to date with TGA and industry regulations and ensure medical content adheres to regulatory requirements.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, KOLs and HCPs to ensure content resonates with the audience.
  • Facilitate and participate in workshops and ideation sessions, to assist with campaign development.
  • Collaborate with Montu Content teams where relevant to identify synergies across departments.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience as a Medical Copywriter in a commercial setting.
  • Experience in medical copywriting for campaign and educational briefs.
  • Clear ability to translate complex scientific information into clear and concise language.
  • An understanding of the medical and pharmaceutical sectors and in terms of codes, guidelines and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights and adjust content strategies based on performance metrics.
  • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), analytics tools, and project management software.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously, whilst maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
