Job Description

Posted on: August 30, 2026

Mini Katana https://minikatana.com/ is one of the largest sword brands in the world. Our content reaches more than 23 million YouTube subscribers, and our Shopify store converts that audience into a successful DTC business.

We’re hiring an E-Commerce and Marketing Manager to own the revenue side of the brand—including merchandising, product launches, website execution, email, SMS, and retention.

If you’re a strong retention, CRM, or e-commerce manager who is ready to take broader ownership of an established DTC brand, this could be your opportunity to step into a senior leadership role.

What You’ll Own

  • E-commerce revenue and the key levers that drive growth and profitability.
  • Merchandising and offer strategy—including what we launch, when we launch it, pricing, promotions, and product bundles.
  • The content-to-commerce calendar, ensuring product launches are coordinated with our video and content pipeline.
  • Full ownership of Klaviyo and Postscript, including campaign strategy, flows, segmentation, list growth, and performance.
  • Website merchandising and launch readiness across Shopify, including product pages, pricing, collections, templates, and promotions.
  • Coordination between inventory availability, product photography, website updates, content, email, and SMS.
  • A small offshore execution team supporting email, SMS, and store operations, allowing you to focus on strategy, decisions, and performance.
  • Performance reporting and identifying opportunities to improve revenue, conversion, retention, and campaign results.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5+ years of experience in DTC e-commerce, retention, CRM, or lifecycle marketing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Klaviyo. Experience with Postscript or another SMS platform is a strong advantage.
  • Experience working within an established e-commerce brand, ideally one generating at least $5 million in annual revenue.
  • Strong merchandising instincts and clear opinions about offers, pricing, bundles, promotions, and launch cadence.
  • A track record of making decisions that generated measurable revenue.
  • Strong writing and editing skills. Campaign messaging, promotional copy, and offer framing will pass through your hands.
  • Experience managing multiple employees, contractors, or offshore team members.
  • Comfortable being accountable for commercial results rather than activity alone.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate several moving parts across launches, campaigns, and website operations.
  • Comfortable working independently and communicating asynchronously in a remote environment.

What This Role Is—and Isn’t

This is a senior, hands-on management role with meaningful ownership over Mini Katana’s e-commerce and retention strategy.

We do not require you to have previously held a General Manager title. We are looking for someone who has developed deep expertise in e-commerce, retention, or CRM and is ready to take responsibility for a broader part of the business.

You will have a direct line to the Founder/CEO and the opportunity to grow with the company based on performance.

This is not primarily a paid-media role. Much of our traffic comes from organic content at a scale most brands would find difficult to replicate. Your responsibility is to convert, retain, and maximize the value of that audience.

Details

  • Location: Remote, U.S.-based
  • Employment: Full-time
  • Reports to: Founder/CEO
  • Some team members are based in Asia, so candidates should expect occasional morning or evening calls. Most collaboration will remain asynchronous.

  • Your earliest available starting date.

Applications without the required revenue example will not be reviewed.
