This is a rare chance to own and grow a mission‑led consumer app from day one - with 20,000+ potential users already lined up for launch and a global digital health business behind it.

You’ll be joining early enough to shape proposition, brand and go-to-market from the ground up.

The app will provide a safe and supportive digital space for transgender, non-binary and gender-diverse people and those who support them navigating deeply personal experiences.

What you’ll be doing

As the lead, you'll have autonomy to do everything to grow awareness and reach, get sign-ups for trial and then convert those users to a monthly subscription.

You'll use your commercial awareness, knowledge of a breadth of marketing channels and intuition to identify where the best opportunities are, what users want and how the app can deliver value for users and commercial success for the business.

Growth and awareness could come from CRM campaigns, paid social activity, influencer engagement, PR and referral incentives. You'll test what works across each, bring new ideas and invest in the areas which deliver. You will learn from everything you try and accept that not all campaigns will deliver but not hesitate to try again with new knowledge and a revised approach.

Positioning, messaging and tone of voice will all sit with you. How users interact with the app and the features used will intrigue you. You'll see the usage and learn what else can be done to improve the product and will manage that through development, tech and creative. Nothing will be outside of your remit and you'll thrive on that level of ownership.

About you

This role is for someone who loves to take ownership, has a commercial instinct and knows digital. You'll be a hands-on growth operator. You’ll think and act like a founder, comfortable owning the problem end‑to‑end, even if you’re not ready to start your own product yet. Motivated to keep proving to yourself your capability whilst being supported and guided by a highly successful entrepreneur who will challenge your thinking and push you to get the best from yourself.

You will need demonstrated experience launching, growing or owning a consumer focused app or digital offering without a big brand or bottomless budget to rely on for success. Core channels that you'll need proven knowledge and experience in are email, paid social, influencer marketing or partnerships and with a crossover into the product space to really see and understand how customers are using a product.

Ideally you'll have worked with a subscription model, driving users onto recurring revenue plans.

You'll be excited by the idea of building in a space that is values-led, politically sensitive and genuinely life-changing for its audience and comfortable working in an early-stage, fast-moving environment where you set the strategy and do the doing.

If you have lived or closely connected experience within trans, non-binary or gender-diverse communities, that’s a bonus but not a requirement; genuine empathy and a commitment to inclusive, affirming experiences are essential.

Essentials we’ll be looking for

  • Owned growth for a consumer app, monetised digital community or subscription business.
  • Confident driving a breadth of marketing channels - email, paid social and influencers.
  • Specific numbers showing increased users, revenue, engagement that moved because of your actions.
  • Willingness to work in a start-up style business with hands-on strategy and delivery in one.

Location, package and how to apply

This is a fully remote role, with a preference for candidates based in the UK to align with the wider team’s core hours.

Salary: anticipated £60,000–£80,000 dependent on experience, with flexibility for exceptional candidates.

Benefits: 25 days holiday, pension, and the opportunity to build and scale a meaningful new platform from the front.

Start date: ASAP – candidates should be available to start with a notice period of no more than 6 weeks.
