The Opportunity
We're looking for a Brand Copywriter — a strategic, high-output writer who will shape how Manukora communicates across every touchpoint, sitting at the intersection of brand and growth.
This isn't a "write what's briefed and hand it off" role. You'll be the person responsible for how Manukora sounds, feels, and communicates. You'll write a lot — but you'll also think about why we're saying what we're saying, who we're saying it to, and whether our messaging is actually doing the work it needs to do.
The best brand copy drives performance — and the best performance copy builds a brand. You understand that those aren't separate jobs. They're the same job done well.
What you'll unlock:
- Broadening how we talk to new audiences beyond our current loyalist base — without diluting what makes us distinctive
- Making our products easier to understand and harder to ignore — especially as we launch new product lines
- Connecting brand and performance into a single, coherent messaging system
What You'll Own
Brand Voice & Messaging Strategy
- Define and evolve our brand voice across every channel
- Shape how we communicate value to different audiences — health-conscious consumers, premium lifestyle customers, new-to-Mānuka shoppers
- Partner with creative to ensure messaging and design are aligned
Copy Across the Funnel
- Write high-impact copy: ads, landing pages, PDPs, email/SMS, packaging, social, and retail
- Translate complex products into messaging that's clear, compelling, and builds trust
- Develop and test creative strategies for paid and organic channels
Product Education & Storytelling
- Build a scalable product education framework that improves clarity and conversion
- Create cohesive product storytelling — what we do, how it works, and why it matters
Strategy & Insight
- Work cross-functionally with growth, creative, and product teams
- Analyse performance data and customer insights to refine messaging
- Surface gaps across the funnel and turn them into actionable strategies
Who You Are
- You don't just fill a brief — you question whether it's the right brief
- Strong instinct for customer psychology and how different people think about products
- Equally at home writing a brand manifesto and a five-word subject line
- Proactive — you surface ideas, flag gaps, and bring solutions
- Self-sufficient with high ownership and a bias toward action
- Growth mindset — you test ideas, learn quickly, and improve through feedback and data
What You Bring
Required:
- 4-7 years of copywriting experience, at least some in DTC, CPG, or wellness
- Portfolio showing range across brand and performance — PDPs, ads, brand stories, email sequences
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically about messaging, not just execute
- Experience working with creative/design teams
- Native or near-native English fluency
Bonus:
- Experience with Shopify, Amazon, or Klaviyo
- Background in building messaging frameworks, tone-of-voice guides, or product education systems
- Exposure to US DTC and retail marketing environments
