We combine digital marketing expertise and a suite of creative services to help brands scale. As a globally recognized growth consultancy, technology studio, and full-service digital marketing agency, we solve complex growth challenges and build brands through proprietary technology, innovative strategy, channel expertise, and flawless execution. Lunar has built a track record of excellence across various verticals, including durable goods, consumer packaged goods, and SaaS. While highlighting potential growth opportunities for clients, Lunar itself continues to expand rapidly.

Who We Are Looking For:

We are seeking an Associate Director of Paid Social to help lead the execution and evolution of the Paid Social function, ensuring operational excellence, strong client outcomes, and team success. This role is responsible for translating Paid Social strategy into action by owning day-to-day performance, process execution, and people management across accounts.

The Associate Director works closely with leadership to operationalize the long-term vision for Paid Social, ensuring strategies, systems, and workflows are consistently implemented and scaled. This is a hands-on leadership role that balances strategic thinking with deep channel expertise, team mentorship, and client partnership.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Associate Director of Paid Social, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Paid Social execution for our clients and supporting the operational success of the Paid Social function. Your responsibilities include:

  • Own the day-to-day execution and performance of Paid Social across accounts, ensuring strategies are effectively implemented and optimized.
  • Operationalize the Paid Social vision and strategy set by senior leadership through consistent processes, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, systems, and executional efficiency to support team scalability and performance.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure Paid Social efforts align with broader client strategies and integrated marketing initiatives.
  • Manage and mentor a team of Paid Social practitioners, providing guidance on execution, performance, and professional development.
  • Ensure strong client outcomes through performance oversight, proactive communication, and problem-solving.
  • Oversee performance measurement, reporting, and optimization to ensure insights are actionable and goals are met.
  • Stay current on platform updates, trends, and best practices to maintain Paid Social excellence and inform tactical execution.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, high-growth organization and deliver strong, measurable results.
  • 5+ years of experience in Paid Social, with a proven track record of managing accounts, leading teams, and scaling performance across multiple clients.
  • At least 3 years of people management experience within an agency environment.
  • Experience running Paid Social campaigns for DTC e-commerce brands; familiarity with acquisition-focused and conversion-driven strategies is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence outcomes through strong partnership and communication.
  • Solid business acumen with the ability to think strategically, evaluate tradeoffs, and make data-informed decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present insights and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Passion for mentoring and developing team members while fostering a high-performing, accountable team culture.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary and 401(k) matching.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Flexible work hours and remote work options.
  • Professional development and training opportunities.
  • Inclusive and supportive work environment that values creativity and innovation.
