Layla.ai is an AI-powered personal travel agent that helps travelers plan and book trips end-to-end—flights, stays, activities, and more—in a few messages. By combining advanced AI with creator-driven content, Layla.ai makes trip planning feel effortless, personalized, and inspiring.

We’re now scaling our content engine to support travelers across languages, cultures, and channels—and we’re looking for multilingual writers who love both travel and technology.

Role: Multilingual AI-Enhanced Content Writer

Employment type: Full-time / Part-time / Contract – different options possible 

Location: Remote

Team: Content / Marketing

As a Multilingual AI-Enhanced Content Writer at Layla.ai, you’ll use AI as your creative co-pilot to produce human, trustworthy, and engaging travel content in English and at least one other major world language. You’ll help travelers discover destinations, understand options, and feel confident about their plans—whether they’re booking a weekend city break or a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.

What you’ll do

  • Create high-quality travel content
  • Write and edit articles, guides, landing pages, FAQs, and in-app copy that help travelers plan and book with ease.
  • Craft clear, friendly, and concise content that matches Layla’s tone of voice and supports our product experience.
  • Work in multiple languages
  • Produce and/or adapt content in English plus at least one other world language (preferred: German, Spanish, French).
  • Localize content, not just translate it—ensuring cultural relevance, natural phrasing, and local examples where appropriate.
  • Leverage AI as a co-writer
  • Use AI tools (including Layla and other LLMs) to generate outlines, first drafts, variations, and ideas.
  • Humanize AI-generated content: rewrite, restructure, add original insight, and ensure the final output feels genuinely written for people.
  • Fact-check AI output, verify data (prices, locations, names, logistics), and ensure accuracy and originality.
  • Research and storytelling
  • Research destinations, experiences, and travel trends from reliable sources and turn them into engaging, practical content.
  • Develop content that inspires and informs.
  • Write for discovery and performance
  • Incorporate SEO best practices (keyword intent, headings, internal links, meta descriptions) in a natural, reader-first way.
  • When needed, tailor content for different channels and formats (website, blog, email, social, in-product copy) while keeping a consistent brand voice.
  • Collaborate & iterate
  • Work with content, marketing, product, and growth teams to align content with business goals and product launches.
  • Use performance metrics (traffic, CTR, engagement, conversions) to refine content and experiment with new formats and ideas.

What we’re looking for

Must-haves

  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Native-level or very strong proficiency in at least one additional world language (preferredably German, Spanish, French), with the ability to write original content (not just translate) in that language.
  • Strong grasp of grammar, tone, and nuance in all languages you work with.
  • Writing and content experience
  • Proven experience as a content writer, copywriter, journalist, or similar role (in-house, agency, or freelance).
  • Portfolio that shows clear, engaging, well-structured content (ideally including travel, lifestyle, consumer, or product-related topics).
  • AI fluency
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Surfer or similar) as part of your writing workflow.
  • Comfortable prompting, iterating, and editing AI drafts while maintaining high standards of accuracy, originality, and brand voice.
  • Mindset
  • You enjoy combining data, tools, and creativity.
  • You’re detail-oriented and proactive about fact-checking.
  • You’re curious about travel and how people actually plan trips online.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in or strong familiarity with the travel, tourism, hospitality, or OTA space (e.g. working with travel brands, airlines, hotels, destinations).
  • Experience creating content for multiple markets (e.g. US, UK, DACH, Southern Europe, MENA, APAC).
  • Knowledge of SEO tools (e.g. Google Search Console, basic keyword research tools) and CMS platforms (e.g. Webflow, WordPress, headless CMS).
  • Additional languages beyond your main two.
