The Social Media Manager at KAR Creative role develops and implements tailored social media strategies for designated client accounts. This includes creating captivating content calendars for Instagram and TikTok, leveraging strategic insights to optimize engagement and working with the Community Coordinator to build innovative community strategies . As the primary client contact for assigned clients, the role proactively addresses client needs, facilitates approvals, and actively participates in meetings to ensure client satisfaction.

This role encompasses social media planning and reporting responsibilities by researching industry trends, staying updated on social media developments, and tailoring creative content ideas to each client's brand and audience. The role also collects and analyzes social media data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement. This position strategically manages content production, client communication, and reporting to drive successful social media campaigns and achieve client objectives for all designated client accounts.

Role Responsibilities

Content Production and Strategy

  • Develop and implement social media strategies for assigned client accounts, collaborating with the Lead Social Media Manager or Chief Creative Officer as needed to assist in the development of strategy.
  • Develop captivating content calendars for brand accounts on Instagram and TikTok, leveraging strategic insights.
  • Support calendar creation by providing light design work using Figma.
  • Utilize channel-specific best practices to edit and enhance video content for TikTok and Instagram.
  • Collaborate with Lead Video Content Creator to conceptualize and outline video briefs for content creators, ensuring alignment with brand objectives.
  • Create comprehensive design briefs for graphic designers to maintain visual consistency and brand identity.
  • Support in the coordination of social media advertising campaigns.

Team and Client Communications and Collaboration

  • Act as the main point of contact on client accounts, monitoring client Slack channels, and proactively completing client requests.
  • Facilitate client approvals and actively participate in client meetings and check-ins.
  • Monitor client Slack channels and take initiative to fulfill client needs promptly.
  • Collaborate with the Community Engagement Coordinator to ensure consistent community management and engagement.
  • Attend team meetings and share thoughts and insights to create a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Provide support for community management tasks as needed to foster a vibrant online community.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Social Media Manager and CEO to develop initiatives aimed at accelerating account growth for assigned client accounts.

Social Media Planning and Reporting

  • Research industry trends and stay updated on social media developments, ensuring alignment with clients goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with team members to ideate and execute partnership content, engaging with relevant brands, maintaining ongoing communication, and producing compelling content.
  • Oversee influencer relationships, managing databases, coordinating outreach efforts, and ensuring consistent engagement with influencers.
  • Partner with the Lead Social Media Manager and Chief Creative Director to develop comprehensive content briefs for influencers and content creators, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and creative vision.
  • Develop creative and engaging content ideas tailored to each client's brand and audience.
  • Create client reports demonstrating channel success and offer recommendations for expanded programming.
  • Stay updated on social media platform algorithms and best practices.
  • Collect social media data regularly, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Analyze the data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
  • Write the Executive Summary Reports for the assigned client account.
  • Make necessary adjustments to the data to ensure accuracy and relevance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of proven experience in social media management, with a focus on Instagram and TikTok.
  • Strong content creation skills inclusive of light graphic design, copywriting and video editing.
  • Experience using a typical social media tech stack including LATER, Figma, Reporting Tools, Slack, G-Suite etc.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong understanding of social media analytics and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and influencers.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Full-Time (40 Hours Per Week)

Pay: $27.00 - $33.00 per hour
