Position: Video Editor with J-Digital Co
Video Medium: Facebook Ads, YouTube Ads/Videos, Social Media Content
Pay Range: $2500 - 3000 AUD/month part-time (20 hours)Schedule: Flexible work hours but available for communication 8am to 5pm Perth Time
Minimum Experience: 2 years of Adobe Premier Pro and After Effects, have experience editing ads for Australian companies
Open To: Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents
We’re looking for an intermediate-level or better video editor with experience in editing Facebook Ads, YouTube Ads/Videos and fast-paced content for social media. If you’re someone who has great editing skills, and are keen to work in a fast-paced environment where we focus on putting out a large volume of content while maintaining the highest standards of quality, this position is for you.
You must have a meticulous eye for detail and pay attention to detail in your editing, picking up what others might think is good enough, and making sure we maintain the standards set.
Please attach your CV and previous work experience, specifically for Facebook Video Ads, YouTube Video Ads, and Social Media Content. You do not need to attach examples for all, but at least 2 of them, with a minimum of 5 examples per theme. EG. Minimum of 5 for Facebook Ads and 5 for Social Media Content.
Responsibilities
The individual within the role is responsible for the following:
Ad creative video editing and production:
- Editing client-supplied footage to create ads and creative videos based on client briefs or media buyer instructions
- Able to provide feedback on the briefs if not clear/suggestions for a clearer brief to achieve the goal.
- Video editing using software or other digital software for the purposes of editing video files, adding graphics including motion graphics where relevant
- Videos created are to be enticing and captivating and worthy of representing valuable clients.
- Proofreading and quality control- ensure no errors with spelling, capitalisation etc. and that all requirements from client brief are met
- Aware of the social media content guidelines and formats required for IG Reels, FB Feed, IG Feed, YouTube Feed, YouTube Shorts etc…
- Ensure produced designs meet all aspects of the client brief including but not limited to:
- Colour schemes
- Awareness stage
- Aspect ratio
- Client-provided assets
- Offer guidelines
- Example style
- Market desire/target audience
- Project description followed and executed
- Filetypes
- Videos exported in the requested format at sufficiently high resolution and workable file sizes
- Colour grading and audio balancing
- Resizing filmed and edited content to fit the social platform requirements.
- Produce any requested revisions or changes to initial productions
- Other video editing/production tasks where requested such as videos for client websites, lead pages or other forms of marketing, or J-Digital promotional purposes
Communication:
- Communication and Frequent check-ins with the team with status updates where appropriate
- Frequent progress updates tracked where requested by project managers
- Moving jobs to the review stage when ready
- Communication with media buyers or project manager where necessary to clarify client briefs or instructions
- Communicate any issues that arise as soon as possible to project manager
- Communication with video editing or graphic design team where necessary
- Available for team Zoom communications if needed during business hours
Planning and scoping
- Reading and note-taking from client briefs sent by media buyer
- Based on client briefs, set and agree to project turnaround time with media buyers or project manager
- Organisation of materials, including video clips, exported videos, client briefs
Requirements
- Proactive communication, including reporting and progress updates where appropriate
- Ensure consistent quality of work
- Must have at least 2 years of experience editing and using Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
- Can bring new ideas to the table and is proactive in giving their own feedback to current ads, active and their own work.
- Can take constructive feedback and use this to improve their work.
- Hungry to learn and grow.
- Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritise projects in the pipeline based on marked importance
- Ability to confidently and concisely communicate with the J-Digital team via Zoom and Slack
- Strong attention to detail in both design execution and following briefs:
- Ability to follow media buyer instructions and client briefs/high level of reading comprehension and thoroughly understand the requirements (ask questions promptly if needed)
- Stay up to date with video editing trends and iterate/innovate continually
- Intermediate understanding of digital marketing strategies and concepts
