About the Job
Our client is an established, high-growth, mid-size technology provider delivering B2B SaaS solutions to enterprise clients globally. We are seeking an analytical, tech-savvy Associate SEO Specialist to join our growing digital marketing and growth team. This entry-level role is designed for a data-driven individual who wants to master the intersection of search engine algorithms, data analytics, and content strategy. Working directly alongside senior growth marketers and web developers, you will support the day-to-day execution of our organic search strategy, helping to optimize our web footprint, track keyword performance, and drive high-intent traffic to our platform.
Why Join Us
- Structured Mentorship Track: Jumpstart your career in growth marketing with direct, daily mentorship from seasoned SEO and digital strategy leaders who are invested in your technical upskilling.
- The Perfect Scale: Enjoy the stability and resources of an established mid-size tech firm, combined with the agility, speed, and visibility of a tight-knit marketing team where your work won't get lost in the crowd.
- Hands-on Tooling Mastery: Transition from theoretical knowledge to practical expertise by working daily with enterprise-grade SEO, data analytics, and digital growth platforms.
Responsibilities
- Keyword Research & Trend Tracking: Conduct foundational keyword research to identify emerging search trends, search volume changes, and content gaps that our marketing team can leverage.
- On-Page Optimization Support: Assist in updating and optimizing website metadata, heading tags, image alt text, and internal linking structures across our digital properties to improve search visibility.
- Technical Site Auditing: Run routine website crawls using industry tools to identify basic technical issues such as broken links, duplicate content, 404 errors, and slow-loading pages.
- Performance Reporting: Help maintain growth dashboards by pulling and aggregating weekly organic traffic data, keyword rankings, and impressions from Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
- Competitor Monitoring: Keep a pulse on the competitive landscape, tracking competitor keyword movements and backlink profiles to identify new outreach and content opportunities.
Qualifications
- Education & Domain Literacy: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related quantitative field.
- Professional/Academic Experience: 0 to 2 years of experience (inclusive of digital marketing internships, university club leadership, personal blogging projects, or managed e-commerce side-hustles).
- Familiarity with SEO Concepts: A strong foundational understanding of how search engines crawl, index, and rank web pages. Familiarity with basic SEO tools (like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, or Google Search Console) is highly preferred.
- Basic Web & Coding Literacy: Fundamental comfort with HTML and CSS. You don't need to be a software engineer, but you should know how to read source code to locate title tags, meta descriptions, and schema markup.
- Data & Excel Comfort: Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (vlookups, data sorting, pivot tables) for organizing and analyzing large sets of keyword data.
- Curiosity & Agile Mindset: An insatiable desire to learn, experiment, and stay ahead of rapidly changing search engine algorithms and tech industry trends.
