About Host Guest
Host Guest is a U.S.-based startup founded in 2024 and officially registered in Georgia in 2025. We connect international students, out-of-state students, and cultural travelers with welcoming, verified host families across the United States. Our platform is designed to create belonging, safety, and personal connection.
We are preparing to launch our platform in Fall 2025. To reach this milestone, we are building a focused, remote-first team that values creativity, accountability, and execution.
The Role: Assistant / Project Manager
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Assistant / Project Manager to serve as the right hand to the Founder. This role combines executive assistance with project coordination. You will help manage the flow of information, keep cross-functional teams aligned, and ensure that deadlines are met.
This is a critical position for Host Guest. The Assistant / Project Manager will make sure operations run smoothly, priorities are clear, and projects stay on track during our launch phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage calendars, scheduling, and coordination for the Founder and core team
- Track tasks, deadlines, and deliverables across multiple departments using Asana or similar tools
- Prepare weekly status updates and reports for leadership
- Assist in drafting communications, presentations, and investor materials
- Follow up with team members to ensure timely progress and accountability
- Organize digital files, shared folders, and project documentation
- Support recruitment and onboarding of new team members
- Handle day-to-day operational needs so the Founder can focus on strategy and growth
Qualifications
- Based in the United States
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an executive assistant, project coordinator, or operations specialist
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency with tools such as Asana, Slack, Google Workspace, and Zoom
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a remote environment
- Comfortable working in a startup setting where priorities can shift quickly
- Bonus: Experience supporting a founder, CEO, or senior leader in a fast-paced environment
Tools We Use
- Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar, Meet)
- Slack and Asana for communication and project management
- Canva and Figma for team collaboration
Compensation & Role Details
- Remote, part-time position (15 to 20 hours per week)
- $14–$19 per hour depending on experience
- Start: September 2025
- Opportunity to grow into a full-time Operations Manager role as Host Guest scales
