About The Role At Guardant Health, communications and marketing are essential drivers of employee engagement and cultural alignment. As our Senior Manager, People Communications and Marketing, you will lead the design and execution of integrated communication strategies and campaigns that amplify our people priorities, strengthen organizational culture, and engage our workforce. This highly visible role partners closely with People leadership, executives, and cross-functional teams to ensure employees not only understand but also feel inspired by Guardant’s mission and values. You will oversee both communications and marketing initiatives for People programs, ensuring consistent messaging, impactful campaigns, and measurable outcomes. What You’ll DoStrategic Communications & Marketing Leadership

  • Develop and implement an integrated People communications and marketing strategy aligned with Guardant’s mission, values, and business priorities.
  • Advise executives and People leaders on messaging, change management, and employee engagement approaches that maximize impact.
  • Partner with the Chief People Officer on executive communications, including All Hands, organizational announcements, and high-visibility initiatives.

Campaign Design & Storytelling

  • Lead the creation of multi-channel campaigns to build awareness and adoption of HR programs (benefits, recognition, performance, engagement, development, etc.).
  • Design compelling content—including articles, videos, graphics, and presentations—that inspires employees and reinforces Guardant’s culture.
  • Apply marketing best practices (audience segmentation, campaign planning, storytelling, branding) to internal communications.

Channel & Brand Management

  • Manage and optimize internal communication channels (intranet, email, forums, digital signage) for consistency, reach, and engagement.
  • Establish scalable frameworks, templates, and brand guidelines for HR communications to ensure alignment across functions.
  • Partner with corporate communications and marketing to align messaging and ensure a cohesive Guardant brand voice internally and externally.

Engagement, Analytics & Continuous Improvement

  • Measure communication and campaign effectiveness using engagement metrics, surveys, and employee feedback.
  • Continuously refine strategies to increase clarity, inclusivity, and employee connection.
  • Monitor industry trends in internal communications and marketing to bring innovative practices to Guardant.

What You’ll Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, HR, or related field required (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 7+ years in internal communications, employee engagement, or HR marketing; experience partnering with senior executives and leading large-scale campaigns is highly preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Exceptional storytelling, writing, and editing skills.
  • Expertise in campaign design, content creation, and channel management.
  • Strong digital communication skills, including advanced proficiency with MS Office, managing intranet-based communications, and the ability to develop engaging. video and visual content using Canva, Adobe Express, Visme, or comparable platforms
  • Mindset:

Hybrid Work Model:This section is applicable to onsite employees who are eligible for hybrid work location as specified by management and related policies. Guardant has defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. This range does not include benefits or, if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity. Primary Location: Remote - Open Position (USA) Primary Location Base Pay Range: $141,900 - $195,050 Other US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $141,900 - $195,050 If the role is performed in Colorado, the pay range for this job is: $150,200 - $206,500 Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
