Overview We are looking for a Client Onboarding Strategist (Performance Marketing) to own the most critical phase of the client lifecycle: onboarding, discovery, and early activation. This role exists to reduce the operational and strategic load currently placed on Client Success Managers by centralizing onboarding ownership in a senior, highly capable profile. In this role, you will lead deep discovery with new clients, design the initial activation and media strategy, define early KPIs and testing priorities, and guide clients through their first phase of execution before handing the account off to long-term ownership. This is not an execution-only or relationship-only role — it requires strong judgment, platform fluency, and the ability to translate business context into clear marketing direction. The ideal candidate has significant experience in a performance marketing agency environment, understands how multiple channels work together, and is confident advising clients early in the relationship. Responsibilities
- Own new client onboarding and discovery, leading kickoff conversations and early strategic alignment.
- Develop the initial media plan and activation strategy across Finch service channels.
- Define early KPIs, testing plans, and optimization priorities for the first phase of execution.
- Ensure activation and launch readiness, including platform setup context, measurement assumptions, and priorities.
- Drive a clean, structured handoff to the assigned Account Manager with full strategic context and documentation.

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working in a performance marketing agency environment.
- Experience leading new client onboarding and discovery in a client-facing role.
- Experience designing initial marketing or media strategies based on client business context.
- Strong working knowledge of performance marketing platforms (Meta, Google Ads, DSP, SEO fundamentals).
- Ability to define KPIs, testing plans, and early optimization priorities.
- Experience advising clients and setting strategic direction early in the relationship.
