TikTok Content Creator & Community Manager - Volunteer
Job Description
Posted on: March 22, 2026
Help us reach more people living with endometriosis on the South Coast. Create and share engaging TikToks that raise awareness, build community, and ensure no one faces this condition alone. Got creativity and a passion for making a difference? We'd love to hear from you. What difference will you make? TikTok is one of the most powerful channels we have for reaching people who do not yet know that Endometriosis South Coast exists — and for many of them, finding us could be a genuine turning point. Endometriosis remains widely misunderstood, too often dismissed, and consistently underdiagnosed. Many of the people who need our support most are not actively searching for a charity; they are searching for answers, recognition, and reassurance that what they are experiencing is real. TikTok is one of the places where those searches now begin. This role is therefore much more than social media content production. As our TikTok Volunteer, you will help shape ESC’s presence on a platform that has transformed how health communities build awareness, share lived experience, and connect people to support. With at least 3 years’ experience in social media marketing, you will bring the creative judgment, platform knowledge, and audience understanding needed to develop content that is not only engaging, but meaningful and strategically effective. The content you create will do more than grow our visibility. It will help put ESC in front of people who may be encountering language, stories, or symptoms that reflect their own experience for the first time. That moment of recognition can be the beginning of someone’s journey towards diagnosis, support, community, and greater understanding of their health. A strong and consistent TikTok presence also directly supports ESC’s wider aims. Increased visibility helps us reach more people who may benefit from our support meetings, strengthens our fundraising activity, broadens awareness of our campaigns, and gives us a stronger platform from which to advocate for better research, shorter diagnostic delays, and improved care for those affected by endometriosis. For a small charity, specialist digital expertise has a significant and immediate impact. In this role, you will not be one person among many. You will hold meaningful ownership of an important platform, and your work will be visible, valued, and directly connected to the outcomes ESC is working to achieve. What are we looking for? We are looking for someone with at least 3 years’ experience in social media marketing who genuinely understands TikTok and knows what makes content perform on the platform. This role would suit someone who combines creativity with strategic thinking and can create content that is not only engaging, but purposeful, audience-aware, and aligned with ESC’s mission. Our ideal volunteer is a confident and self-directed content creator with a strong understanding of short-form video, platform trends, and community engagement. You will be comfortable producing content independently, managing your own time effectively, and contributing as part of a small remote team. You should have a clear sense of TikTok’s culture, evolving best practice, and the storytelling techniques that make someone stop scrolling and pay attention. Because ESC supports people who are often navigating pain, uncertainty, and a healthcare system that has too often failed them, sensitivity is just as important as creativity in this role. We need someone who can approach health-related content with care, thoughtfulness, and professionalism, and who understands the importance of inclusive, respectful, and trauma-informed language. Lived experience of endometriosis is not required, though it is welcomed. You will also need to be confident working within an established brand framework and content approval process. ESC has a clear tone of voice and visual identity, and all content is reviewed before publication. We are looking for someone who can work creatively within those parameters while ensuring that every piece of content reflects our values and serves our community well. In practical terms, you should have strong experience creating and editing short-form social content, reliable access to a smartphone, and confidence using video editing tools such as CapCut or InShot. You should also be able to commit to an average of 4 to 5 hours per week, worked flexibly across the month. It would be an advantage if you also have experience using content scheduling platforms, interpreting social media analytics, or supporting digital growth within a charity, nonprofit, or community-based organisation. Above all, we are looking for someone who can bring experience, consistency, initiative, and care to a role that has real potential to expand ESC’s reach and impact. What will you be doing? Endometriosis South Coast (ESC) is an inclusive charity supporting people across the South Coast who are navigating diagnosis or living with endometriosis. Through awareness campaigns, monthly community meetings, fundraising, and online support, we work to ensure no one faces this condition alone. We are seeking an experienced and creative TikTok Volunteer with at least 3 years of experience in content creation, social media management, or digital storytelling to lead and grow our presence on one of the world’s most influential awareness platforms. Endometriosis affects an estimated 1 in 10 people, yet diagnostic delays of up to a decade remain common. TikTok offers a powerful opportunity to challenge misinformation, raise awareness, and reach people who may still be searching for answers. This role is central to helping ESC expand its reach, build community, and connect more people with trusted support. This is not a routine scheduling role. It is a creative and strategic opportunity for someone who can take ownership of ESC’s TikTok presence and produce high-quality, engaging short-form content that reflects our mission, voice, and values. You will be responsible for planning, creating, editing, and posting content that brings ESC’s work to life — from educational videos and awareness campaigns to community stories, fundraising content, and key health messaging. You will also play an active role in shaping content direction by monitoring performance, identifying trends, and using audience insights to inform future activity. Alongside content creation, you will engage with our growing TikTok community in a warm, professional, and trauma-informed way, helping to foster trust and meaningful connection. You will work closely with the Marketing Manager and collaborate with a small, supportive team of volunteers. While content is planned monthly to provide structure and guidance, this role is best suited to someone who can bring their own expertise, creative ideas, and understanding of TikTok strategy to strengthen our digital presence. Key Responsibilities Include
- Producing high-quality, original, on-brand TikTok videos aligned with ESC’s mission, campaigns, and brand guidelines
- Leading on the planning and delivery of TikTok content as part of the monthly content calendar
- Maintaining a consistent and strategic posting schedule designed to support audience growth and engagement
- Monitoring trends, platform developments, and performance analytics to refine content strategy and improve results
- Engaging with the TikTok community professionally, sensitively, and in line with ESC’s values
- Working with the Marketing Manager to share insights, identify opportunities, and contribute to wider campaign planning
- Ensuring all content uses inclusive, sensitive, and trauma-informed language appropriate to the communities we support
This role is fully remote and requires around 4–5 hours per week on average, worked flexibly across the month. It would suit someone with strong TikTok knowledge, confidence in short-form video strategy, and a genuine commitment to improving awareness and support for people affected by endometriosis. If you have the experience to create content that informs, connects, and inspires — and want to use your skills to support a growing charity making a real difference — we would love to hear from you.
