Are you a passionate fundraiser or sales professional ready to make a real difference? The Dementia Research Community is seeking a motivated and strategic Fundraising & Sponsorship Manager to help us grow our impact, expand our reach, and accelerate the journey toward a cure for dementia.
Since 2016, we’ve raised over $1.9 million, funded 10 research projects, and hosted unforgettable events like the Bondi2Berry Ride to Remember, gala dinners, corporate activations and the Sydney Harbour Splash. Every dollar we raise goes directly to dementia research.
Your Role
Reporting to the President, you’ll be the driving force behind our fundraising strategy - building partnerships, securing funding, and helping deliver events that inspire and engage. This is a flexible, remote-friendly role with real purpose, and real rewards.

You're a natural connector with a strong network and a passion for making a difference. You are tenacious and thrive in fast-paced environments, love a challenge, and are ready to take ownership of fundraising strategies that deliver results.
What You’ll Do
• Identify and engage major donors, corporate partners, foundations and grant opportunities
• Secure funding to support our events and research initiatives
• Craft compelling proposals and fundraising campaigns
• Lead and support fundraising events and activations
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and major donors
• Promote our mission and keep supporters informed, inspired and engaged
What You Bring
• A proactive attitude and strong network
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
• Proven experience in fundraising, sales, or grant writing
• A sharp eye for detail and strong organizational skills
• Passion for our cause, and ideally, a personal connection to dementia
Bonus Skills
• Confidence in public speaking
• Legal or accounting experience
• Event planning experience
